“Good for a short break”
The front desk staff were frindly and spoke perfect English. Security at the hotel was excellent, with room card needed to enter the lifts or stairways. The rooms were clean and modern. The dining room and bar were pricey though. Location is outside the city centre, but a bus goes from right outside the front door and takes only 10 minutes into central station.
“WILL STAY AGAIN”
A VERY NICE HOTEL, STAFF VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. A LITTLE BIT OUT OF THE CENTRE BUT IT WAS ONLY A TEN MINUTE BUS RIDE. THEY SELL TRAVELCARDS FOR THE BUS AT THE HOTEL. OR IF YOU PREFER YOU COULD RE MORTGAGE YOUR HOUSE TO PAY FOR A TAXI.
“Good service, nice room”
Friendly and efficient service from all staff, clean room, good food, the wifi works. Not the most exciting hotel in the world and the area is a bit dead but it's easy to get into town. I'd happily stay there again
“convenient location”
This hotel is a few kilometers from downtown. We rented bikes at the front desk and took a six hour tour of Amsterdam by bike. We were into downtown in minutes. It complemented the canal tour the next day. A little warning, mopeds are also allowed to use the bike lanes and they move a lot faster than the pedal traffic. Restaurant was quite good. Didn't use it but the public pool is adjacent to the patio.
“Great Hotel!”
Friendly, helpful staff; diverse and convenient location; and variety of transportation options available (including bike and moped rental directly from hotel).
“WestCord Art”
I found the WestCord to be most accommodating. The hotel is relatively new and the rooms are clean with modern baths. The desk clerks were courteous and helpful. The security at the hotel was good as a room key is required for use of the elevator and the hall doors however, I had no concerns about walking around the neighborhood or all the way into town. The public areas are clean and inviting. Two lobby computers and coffee service are available for guests. Although the hotel is a half hour walk to the city center, busses are available right outside the hotel entrance at a 20 min. wait. The bus will take you to the city central station where all intercity transportation is accessible. Food at the hotel is rather pricy but there ample restaurants within a few blocks walk of the hotel. The hotel also offers an enormous swimming pool for its guests. All things considered, price included, I found the WestCord to be an excellent value.
“Good hotel for a short stay”
It' ok if you want to avoid the noise of central Amsterdam. 12 minutes by bus 48 from Central Station. Quite clean but nothing interesting in the surroundings. Be sure to reserve a deluxe room, cause strandard rooms ar far to small. All in all, ok for a stay of maximum 4 nights, otherwise somewhat borring.
“Amsterdam - perfect and the distance is not too problematic”

“Great Hotel”
Would strongly recommend this hotel. Only minor niggle - mattress too soft, but this is down to personal preference. Everything else very good.
“Great Stay!”
My flight arrived in AMS at around 5:30AM so I was expecting to drop off my luggage at the hotel and not be able to check-in until later in the afternoon. Soon as I arrived at the hotel around 7 something (i took my time at the airport) I was told that there are rooms available and I could check-in right away--which allowed me to freshen up and take a nap before having almost a full day in the city on my first day! Though the hall ways of my floor looked a bit like a hostel, my room was clean, quiet and definitely comfortable. Staff at the hotel was always there to help with directions and other traveling needs, and the room was cleaned well each day. I especially enjoyed the artwork all over the hotel and the Art Cafe, which was a great hangout to wake up/relax/meet people and had good food and drinks. The location of the hotel seemed a bit remote at the beginning and I was a bit worried but turns out Bus 48 and 22 gets me between the hotel and town within 10 mins, and there were a couple times that I simply walked back to the hotel and discovered some pleasant neighborhoods on the way. And if you are looking for light lunch/dinner in the area, you have to try out Holy Ravioli on Spaarndammerstraat 35bg! All in all, I had a wonderful stay at Westcord Art Amsterdam 3* and I def recommend it.
