“Jan”
Lovely Hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful.
“GB”
This hotel is perfect for the city centre. Can be very noisy if you want to have your windows open for air. Sometimes feel that the check in/check out procedure could be streamlined somewhat. I feel that I spend a lot of time at the desk queueing.
“the best hotel in ams”
Most was good except for: We paid tax we did not know when booking Transportation to the airport did not reach
“Hotel was under being remodeled”
The hotel was under remodeling and that was not told to me, the hotel staff was super, very very helpful, they said yes to what ever I ask, but the remodeling was as issue
“A bit rough around the edges for a 4 star hotel”
Although the lobby, restaurant and bar are contemporary, new and well appointed the same could not be said for my 'superior' room that was a bit rough around the edges. The 'view' from my window, was of another room window just a meter or so away and a trash strewn fire escape. Not impressive for a four star hotel.
“Overrated, tired, overpriced”
The hotel is overpriced for the value. The issue is not just the rooms, but EVERY service provided within the hotel. $30 breakfast is not ok. It is centrally located, but it is also next to central station with all of the drags of the society on the display (made worst in AMsterdam - capital of legal drug trade). Hotel is ringed by bike sidewalk, bike lane, restricted bus lanes. If you are in the car, you cant get to it to even checkin. It has no parking. Parking solution is to have yoru car taken away upon check in and brought back at check out at 35 euro per day. Bedding is updated, but beds themselves are not. Bathrooms are small, but well equipped. Internet is free which is welcome.
“Adequate for the price”
this hotel was adequate for the price (for teh accommodation), although the food was not cheap. there was a problem with cleanliness - I saw a moues running around in the bar.
“Very good and central location.”
Enjoyed my stay; the room was clean and the staff were very professional and helpful.
“Decent hotel convenient for Central Station”
Large business hotel opposite central station. Decent enough quality. We paid a lot because it co-incided with a major conference. Wouldnt rush to go back, its kinda bog standards corporate hotel, but I guess its in the Top 25 of hotels in Amsterdam
“I Expected Better”
The hotel is trying to hard to be "modern" (newer addition). My biggest issue is that - knowing the taxi "issues" in Amsterdam - I asked both the front desk AND the bell staff to get me a taxi. They did - in fact the bell staff and the taxi driver greeted each other as friends. In retrospect, it was clear to me that the staff must receive a % of the over-charged taxi ride (45 Euro for a 15 Euro trip). I would rather go to another hotel - possibly even pay more - to be comfortable that the staff (and management and hotel) has my interest in mind...not the obvious kick-backs. I hope 30 Euro was worth it to lose a consistent business traveller.

Dam Square - Central Station, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets.
