Lovely hotel, close to station and city centre.

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, style and value.
Cons: More milk in the room.
Location: A great location. Glow golf very close by. Easy walk to station and city centre.
A 10 minute walk to the central station and 15 minute walk to the centre. Lovely restaurant and bar on site. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and very stylish. Would certainly stay here again.

Close to city center. Nice views.

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: Renewed hotel in all aspects. I liked it all.
Cons: I cannot think of anything.
Location: City tour, boat tour, visit city center and Nemo (Kids Science Museum).
Worm welcome although I had late arrival at 11 pm and my 4 rooms were arranged close by as needed. Arrangements for extra beds were there and our 2 families of 11 members felt like home. Thank you to everyone in hotel.

Super place to stay

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything works. It's clean and tidy. Concierge and other staff are very helpful. Also it's nice and quiet - so guaranteed a good night's sleep.
Cons: Staff need to be rigorous in checking the entitlement of guests to use the executive lounge.
Location: Not much to do in the immediate vicinity so you have to go into town for museums, bars and restaurants.
Second visit to Amsterdam this year and booked Movenpick again without hesitation. Yes, its a few minutes walk from the city centre but then everything is within easy reach by tram. The executive rooms have great views and the little extras are worth the price.

Very clean modern hotel. Great pillows!

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: It was very clean and they had great pillows. I liked that there was a kettle and a fridge in the room. Great massage therapist Ilene!
Cons: The hotel restaurant was uncomfortable. It cost 3.50 euros for a cup of terrible coffee and didn't even include a refill. Massage room should be moved
Location: The tram system in Amsterdam is excellent! There isn't much close to the hotel, but it really doesn't matter since the tram is so convenient.
It was a very busy hotel since most people taking a riverboat cruise stay there. As a result, I found it a bit impersonal. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but seemed very strict and stiff, especially the restaurant manager (not the bar, the hotel bar was great!) There is a tram stop close by which made travelling into the city easy. They may as well not of had the shuttle since you had to book it ahead of time and it didn't really bring you right to central station. They should have had one run more frequently that you could have just hopped on when you were ready to go. The massage room should not be in the gym. It t was noisy and took away from the peacefulness of the massage.

Great hotel with fantastic views of harbour

Posted 02-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing too much trouble for the staff who were all very friendly
Cons: Allow entry to hotel ftprom ramp by music centre.
Location: Very easy access to amsterdam centre, walk. 12 minutes, tram 4minutes or use complimentary minibus from hotel every half hour but need to book
Excellent hotel with very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Well worth paying extra for executive rooms on top two floors, 19/20 which provide stunning views over harbour and Amsterdam centre. Executive rooms have a dedicated lounge with drinks available ble all day and snacks served between 5 and 7, all coplementary. Room was spotless and the fridge was restocked daily with beer, water and soft drinks. In the evening bed was turned down with a chocolate left at the side and two fresh bottles of water.

Excellent hotel right by the train station

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything!
Location: There was lots of coffee shops in the vicinity. The Happiness Project, The Heineken Experience and The Ice Bar were all nearby too.
My boyfriend and I couldn't believe how lovely the hotel in general and the room was. It was about 10 minutes walking to the central station where all the trams around Amsterdam departed from so that was really convenient. We are both vegetarian so sometimes it is hard to find nice food in hotels but we ate breakfast there every morning and we had so much choice and it was such great quality. We were given new (big) bottles of water every day and chocolates which was extra nice! We did a lot of walking even thought the hotel wasn't out of the way, we should have worked out the trams earlier than we did.

Two nights

Posted 26-Jul-2014
The first thing that strikes you in the setting it is stunning, we stayed in a junior suite which was great, the breakfast buffet was lovely and staff in the hotel very helpful. The hotel is a ten min walk or Tram 26 and one stop from Central Station. I'd oh back again and lovely restaurant next door which looks out onto harbour, if you are in Amsterdam stay here

Fantastic stay!

Posted 24-Jul-2014
We recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Moevenpick Hotel, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. We had an Executive room, and it was worth every cent! A large room on one of the two top floors overlooking the river, free breakfast (which was fantastic!), free Wi-Fi, free hot and cold snacks in the Executive lounge each evenings (with free drinks), turn down service, and a free mini bar....truly an incredible stay. Yes, the hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk to Centraal Station, but it was nice to be away from the bustle of downtown Amsterdam. I would not hesitate at all to stay here again.
