“Clean little hotel, excellent location”

Apart from higher than expected city tax, being given a single room instead of a double, and being asked for 20 euro or pound cash deposit for keys per room, the staff were very helpful and friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the hotel. The rooms were clean and in good condition, as was the hotel in general. The bathroom was small but clean and in good condition (looked new). Breakfast was simple and adequate. The hotel's greatest asset is its central location, perfect for exploring Amsterdam by foot and for trams and busses.

“bad excperience”

This hotel was very bad. The first thing you expect is to be able to speak dutch at the reception. This was not possible. All facilities were extremely small. Elevator, room, shower and there was a 20 cm wide balcony. Breakfast buffet is also a big word for having to wait first for 15 minutes so one of the 5 available tables get free. Pricing is far too high for such a bad hotel.

Area recommendations

area of the hotel was good. Close to leidse plein which is very nice on a warm summer night.

Shopping

end of july is perfect for shopping at kalverstraat. Very good season sales available

“sehr gute Lage, für den Preis würde man aber Sauberkeit und etwas Komfort erwarten dürfen”

Das Hotel würde man von Sauberkeit und Komfort eher in Südeuropa erwarten und evtl akzeptieren. Für ein EU-Land ist hier etliches zu bemängeln und nicht mehr akzeptabel. Die Möbel sind schäbig und abgewohnt, Teppiche schmutzig und verschlissen. Aber man wohnt eben sehr zentral in Amsterdam. Wem das reicht?

Must see

Die Museen in Amsterdam sollte man nicht verpassen, alles ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar, oder mit einem Schiff auf den Grachten.

“sejour en couple”

hôtel bien placé, près des musées et d'un quartier actif pour les restaurants et les sorties. Accueil très peu aimable et petit déjeuner classique sans originalité et pas très copieux. Chambre sympathique, coté cours, pas très propre mais bien équipée.
