“Wonderful Hotel”

This hotel was 2 stops from Amsterdam Central trainstation (10 minute journey) and the hotel was situated a minutes walk from the station in Zaandam. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the facilities were immaculate and the room was lovely and clean. The area of Zaandam itself was lovely, very friendly people, no tourists and a lovely ice cream shop! I would definately recommend this hotel to others and will definately go back!

“Excellent hotel”

Excellent hotel situated next to Zaandam train station which allows us to reach centre of Amsterdam within 15 minutes. If you prefer a quieter time, hotel was in situation right across the road from Zaandam centre which offers a plentiful supply of shops and restaurants. Staff at this hotel were very friendly and extremely helpful and made sure that you stay was very pleasant.

“Good hotel just 10 minutes from Centraal Station”

Fine little five story hotel with pleasant bar and breakfast room just two minutes walk from Zaandam rail station, but no noise from trains in hotel room. Zandaam is a nice little town but suffering from a lot of redevelopment at the moment, found a nice market there on Saturday. If you need a supermarket ask directions to the Albert Heijn, there is one just across the road, it is close but a bit of a walk due to the building work. As trains to Amsterdam depart around every 10 minutes and the last train back is well after midnight this makes a good base for exploring the city. If travelling from Schipol by train do not go all the way into the city, change at Sloterdijk and go to lower platform for a train to Zaandam, it is the next stop about 5 minutes away. I can recommend the hotel, very nice stay.

“Cracking Hotel”

This hotel was amazing!!! Only 10 mins car drive into central amsterdam. Rooms are very big with wonderful theme rooms, each one is different to the other. i would very much love to stay here again when i go back to amsterdam,

“Stunning...and can only get better!”

When I was investigating this hotel before booking, I saw a number of reviews saying the surrounding area was a 'building site'. Well, it still is to a certain extent (summer 2011) but much less then when some of these reviews were posted, I'd suppose, and, at a guess, I would imagine another 6 - 12 months will make it entirely hard-hat free. So, that aside, Zandaam is a superb area to stay in for an Amsterdam trip. The station is between the Airport and the capital; 10 - 15 minutes and about 5euros away from Amsterdam Central and, in itself, handy for shops and a vibrant little bar and restaurant area just a few minutes walk away. The hotel itself is just superb - worth going just for the photo opportunity alone - I've never seen anything quite like it. Inside, it is almost equal to the exterior view. The bed is probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home (and I travel with work too!) and the room is beautifully decorated with each having its own theme. The station is almost an extension to the hotel area, about one minute away, and is an ideal base for Amsterdam and travel to other areas. To be fair, we ate out for breakfast so it was a base only but I doubt that you would really need to eat in a hotel anyway with all the capital has to offer. If you are worried that this is outside the city itself - I was a little concerned beforehand - then don't be. I would stay here again without a moments hesitation and thoroughly recommend it.

“A 4 star hotel at a 3 star price - fantastic”

Wow. We were a little put off by the lack of on-site parking - but once we found our way into the parking the hotel uses, we found everything else to be absolutely 100% - it's about 10km drive from Amsterdam, and right by the Zandaam train station, so we were easily able to get into the city from there, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. Really, the hotel reminded me of the Mondrian in LA, which is about 400 dollars per night. Beautiful layout, and if you don't care about the view - there isn't much of one! - you couldn't do better than this fine discovery.

Hotel very nice, good location right by train station, easy to get to Amsterdam central and to/from airport. Surrounding area ok, a lot of building going on there but we came to see Amsterdam and hotel and staff very good. Restaurant and drinks at the hotel pricey but we ate out

“Very Unique!”

If you want a quirky looking hotel, then this is the place for you. It's virtually brand new, so was in a bit of a building site, but we had expected this from seeing other photos and reading other reviews, and because it was the weekend, no work was taking place, so this didn't disturb us at all. We had a very friendly welcome, and considering we arrived so late, all our needs were met. Room service delivered pizza was very tasty. The rooms are all themed differently (see the website), and ours was spotless with a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower. Our TV didn't work straight away, but this fixed straight away by a quick call to reception. The room temperature was perfect and fully self adjustable with the air con controls. Breakfast was fantastic - all you can eat, and anything you can think of was available. Evening meal was of a high quality and reasonably priced. Extra facilities included a pool, sauna, steam room and gym all included in the price. Hotel was five minutes walk from the station and I'm sure when the development of the area is complete it will be very pleasent. Overall we were very impressed with this hotel, and we can't think of a bad point. Well done Inntel!!

“Inntel hotel is superb”

This hotel was excellent value for money. The quality of the hotel rooms and service was superb and free wifi throughout was a plus for the reasonable price. The gym, sauna, steam room and swimming room provided as part of your stay are also of a high standard. The food in the restaurant was absolutely stunning but be prepared to pay a pretty penny for the priviledge... also for convenience, being located literally on the train station was incredibly useful for getting around whilst not providing undue noise in the hotel. Overall for the price it would be hard to beat this hotel. Remember to get the train from Schipol airport directly to Zaandam intitially though as a taxi will cost you a lot and the train will actually get you closer to the hotel anyway..
