We loved that it is so close to the museums and was steps away from the celebration in the area for the festive for the end of the year. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very nice and helpful. We highly recommend it for families.

The rooms were a little gross and there was no toilet paper and our coffee machine was broken but the staff were very helpful and it was in a tremendous location

The hotel is very close to so many things. It's a short walk from the bus stop from the airport and from the museums including the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. I got the extra small room which was intended for one person. It was still spacious for me and my luggage, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.

Okay but....
Hotel in a good location, near primary schools so a little bit noisy at times. Lift was out of order so an epic stair climb to the 4th (top) floor. Decor is a bit tired and had to look under the beds for something dropped and the the level of dust/fluff/dirt was disappointing to find....

Staying here was fantastic! It is very close to the art museums and it is easy to access other parts of the city by walking, bus, or tram. The staff member who checked us in was so friendly and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs since the elevator was under construction. Breakfast at the hotel was good, but there were many other places within walking distance as well. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the luggage storage was not under staff supervision. However, they let us extend our checkout until 1pm for only 20 euros so we could make sure our belongings were safe. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay here again!

The hotel itself is fine; convenient enough and clean. The service that we experience however, was dismal. When a fire alarm went off in our room, although a false alarm, our room was barged into with no knock or notice. The staff did not have answers for us, and expected us to sleep in a room with a disconnected smoke detector. The person did not have good customer service, telling us we were unimportant and that his manager, Jay, would not care to help us or prioritize our experience. We then watched them have a screaming match on the phone. When we were given no other option than to stay in an unsafe room, we had a fitful sleep and were unable to speak to Jay in the morning either, with no other manager or option for someone to speak to. The morning receptionist assured us that the owners, above Jay, also would not care to listen to our issues with their service and safety. That morning before checking out, our room was barged in to AGAIN by a tradesperson. The unpermitted access to our room was unacceptable, the service was uncaring and the management is abhorrent. I do not recommend staying here.

Enjoyable stay. On 4th floor so thankful they have a lift. Being there on hottest week this year very glad of aircon in room. Tram stop just around corner, so easy access everywhere. There is a school across from Hotel so noise during school hours but never an issue.

Perfect spot in Amsterdam!
Excellent hotel in downtown Amsterdam! We stayed in a quad room and it was plenty spacious, clean and perfect for the four of us. The location is great, close to everything but off any main street so it was nice and quiet in the evening. I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic hotel in a quiet area away from the main tourist spots, but within walking distance to all the wonderful museums. Some great dining options nearby. Very reasonably priced, rooms were clean and staff very helpful. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again if I’m in Amsterdam.

A very clean and quiet tourist hotel providing a good breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Location is superb for those visiting the art galleries and wanting a canal trip. Would definitely use it again.

Pleasant stay at Hotel Van Gogh
We were staying one night in Amsterdam before a cruise. As a family of six, we booked two triple rooms. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Optional breakfast was handy and buffet-style. Hotel accommodated us by holding our bags after checkout so we could do a canal cruise and they arranged for our ride to the airport.
Separate beds for kids made for nice sleep.
