“Good hotel Great location Service all right”
The hotel is perfectly located, you can walk everywhere from there. The room was quite pretty but the bathroom was not perfectly clean and our bed sheets were not changed even though we stayed 3 nights.
“Good value for the money”
The hotel is clean, the neighborhood quiet, most tourist attractions are within 10 - 15 minutes walking maximum, overall, we were pleased.
“Do Not Believe The Photos”
I was expecting a minimalist, trendy, cool hotel and it was nothing of the sort. The bedroom looked like it was used for making cheap adult films with mirrors along one entire wall, there were unidentified stains on the walls and bedside tables and it stank. The beds were cheap and virtually impossible to get comfortable in and the curtains did not cover the windows (we were on the ground floor facing the front of the building) so everybody could look in. It was basically a seedy youth hostel and not a reasonable quality hotel as it appears to be on the website.
“Good for a 3-star”
We needed to find a room that could hold 3-4 people. This hotel met that requirement and was well-located near the Leidseplein. It is a 3-star hotel... nothing fancy, but it did the trick.
“Great fixtures, ugly rooms!”
The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were however a great dissapointment. There were great dark wood fixtures, such as bed, wardrobe and head board, but in an ugly room that was stipple plastered over previous bad, lumpy plastering. There was a really poorly done artificially lowered ceiling, which covered part of the window and was of the cheap office type with metal crossbeams and white polystyrene tiles. in this instance some stained. there was mildew on the bathroom windows and the bottom of the shower curtain contained months of limescale and soap scum. The hallways were utilitarian at best, with gloss paint to waist height, reminiscent of a cheap New York apartment and metal doors and scuffed corners everywhere. The photos on the website showed a sophisticated and stylish interior, but what it didn't show was the shabby rooms those sophisticated fixtures were in!
“For favourable location only”
Humid, old furnishings, insect (silver-fish) ridden
“It was just good”
It is perfect for young people
“Central, worm atmo, standard service.”

“Intimate hotel for your basic needs.”
for a first time in Amsterdam this might not be the best location for a hotel due to its relative distance from the center of tourists activities. and unfortunately both times i took a taxi to go back to the hotel the drivers brought me to a different address or took a long time than expected to find the right street the hotel is located in (which holds the same name...). for some friend of mine who knows their way around the city this hotel was perfect for their needs.
“Nice...”
Was nice, they have different rooms. We received a very small room (like in club-med) and our friends a regular (good) room. It's not club-med so it's funny they even have such rooms for guests. Beside that overall was very nice.

Area:
Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
