Nice hotel near to everything

Posted 02-Jan-2015
Pros: Close to all amenities
Cons: Having a proper bed rather than 2 singles being pushed together
Location: Just off Rembrandt Square, plenty of things to do nearby
2nd stay at this hotel, everything was great & as expected.

Clean and very comfortable in the city centre.

Posted 01-Jan-2015
We stayed for 4 nights and the room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and we liked the easily adjustable heating. Other reviews said rooms at the front can be noisy, so we requested (and got) a room at the back and it was very quiet. The immediate area is very touristy with lots of bars and clubs, but it's very central so we could walk everywhere.

Hampshire Hotel is actually 2 hotels.

Posted 24-Dec-2014
Pros: We preferred the EDEN for its view of the canals, windows that opened, and old worn charm.
Cons: The Hampshire color scheme is dark gray and brown. the furniture is too big for the room so it feels a bit crowded, cold - corporate.
Location: Many bars, restaurants, shopping, a grocery store, on the canal, bike rental next door
We chose the Hampshire based upon its location and reviews. It is across the street from Rembrandtplein which is a nice plaza that had a great Christmas Market. Our first room in the Hampshire was newly remodeled but awkward in that we could not navigate around the bed and chairs - they were too big for the room. it also had a window that looked into the office building across the street. Sort of grey, cold, and unappealing. a mini bar took up two sections of the wardrobe and was so close to the bed I dreamt I was sleeping in a corner store with exhorbitant prices and was forbidden to touch anything. The woman who checked us in was great though - as were all of the hotel staff and she offered us a switch to a different room if we wanted since the hotel was pretty empty. We took her up on her offer and they showed us a room on the inside which was better laid out and then - took us to a room at the EDEN hotel which is a three star hotel that is connected to the Hampshire. The Eden hotel is on the canal side and has a view of the canals with boats going up and down and is older and worn but really charming - really more of our personal style. We switched to the room in the EDEN for the rest of our stay and love love loved it.

Good location & excellent reception staff

Posted 13-Dec-2014
Pros: Location, warmth (i.e temperature) and convenience.
Cons: Breakfast was not very imaginative or inspiring.
Location: City center and able to walk to most central attractions.
The hotel was recommended to us and we agree it is very clean, convenient and offers all the facilities needed in a short stay, city hotel.

Hervorragende Lage, leider abgewohnte Zimmer

Posted 11-Dec-2014

Good location and clean.

Posted 09-Dec-2014
My partner and I stayed here for the weekend 5/12 - 7/12. This is the 3rd time we've stayed at this hotel. We've always found it clean and in a good location for exploring the city on foot.

NON IN LINEA CON LO STANDARD PROPOSTO !

Pros: NULLA
Cons: PULIZIA STANZE. MANCA UN CANALE TV ITALIANO
Location: CONSIGLIATO PER LA POSIZIONE CENTRALE VICINO AI LOCALI NOTTURNI E ALL'AREA SHOPPING
WEEKEND AD AMSTERDAM IN COPPIA. POSIZIONE OTTIMALE DELL'HOTEL PER SCORRIBANDE SERALI O PER LO SHOPPING. VICINISSIMO AL MERCATO DEI FIORI E AD ALTRE ATTRAZIONI.

excellent hotel in a good location.

Posted 21-Nov-2014
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Breakfast service
Location: Near to tram stop and plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Lovely stay in beautiful room. No faults at all with hotel except for breakfast which I found very expensive and very disorganised, everything ran out at once and people standing around with empty plates, had to retrive cutlery from another table. Once in restaurant, no help or assistance offered at all. Apart from that everything was very good and we had an enjoyable stay in Amsterdam.

Super Hotel mit guter Lage , jedoch....

Posted 04-Nov-2014
Wurde mir eine hochwertige Uhr aus dem Hotelzimmer entwendet , denke dass es vom Personal genommen wurde da es nach dem Saubermachen passiert ist. Also alles im safe einsperren.

Sehr laut nachts!

Posted 04-Nov-2014
