“Mixed impressions”
The hotel was well maintained and in a very good location. Breakfast seemed expensive and I ate out much more cheaply. My room was a single and tiny, with a very small window which looked out onto a narrow atrium and a corridor. Indeed the room was the smallest I have ever been in during a number of visits to Amsterdam. The bathroom was modern, clean and pleasant although again small. Easily reached by the number 9 tram from Centraal Station the hotel is an excellent base for any tourist in Amsterdam. Would I use it again? I don't think so. I was only using the hotel as a base so it appeared overpriced for what I got. . Perhaps if I had be using WI Fi and some other facilities it would have been better value. There is also a requirement to put down a 50 euro deposit on arrival. City taxes were not included in my booking price.
“EDEN HOTEL”
Fantastic location -- great hotel -- satisfactory small room
“Very nice hotel”
We found the Eden to be extremely comfortable and nicely decorated. We were able to walk from the train station, though it was a bit far. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend it.
“Hotel rooms are very small so ask for a larger room”
The Eden Hotel is in a good central area of Amsterdam Rembrant Srr. and not far from the rail station. We were assigned our room and were shocked when we saw how small that it was 8 feet wide and about 10 ft long and in that space was a double bed a desk and chair, a closet, but the door could not be opened as the chair was in the way.The bathroom was about 5X4 feet in size.We asked if they had a larger room, and they agreed to move us the next day,but remove the chair for now.The new room was two and a half times larger and as we were there for 5 nights worked out well.Once we were moved we were happy and would recommend it for location and general cleanliness. My wife and I are seniors and hate to be crammed into a small space.
“Great location, Friendly staff”
This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. It is in a great location. We had a room with a view of the Amtel River which was amazing. The rooms are small but very clean. The staff was very friendly. For the price, it is great value as the location is great. I would highly recommend this hotel. When I am in Amsterdam again I will stay here for sure.
“Cool”
great location, great staff. too bad about the no smoking :(
“Good value for money”
Stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Amsterdam. We chose this hotel based on price and location and we weren't disappointed. About 15 mins walk from Train Station to Hotel. From the hotel we were able to walk everywhere very easily. Room was bigger than I expected and clean/comfortable. Only negative would be the lack of view. Make sure to close your windows at night as we did find it a bit noisy on the Friday night. There was free wi-fi in hotel lobby and vending machines selling drinks/sweets. We didn't use the bar so cant comment on that. We found it a great base for visiting a lovely city and would go back to this hotel.
“Decent Hotel in a Great Location”
For a tourist, this hotel is ideally located - right off Rembrandt square, a 3-5 minute walk from the flower market, and within a 20-30 minute walk from most other tourist attractions (and walking around Amsterdam is a pleasant experience all by itself!). The hotel itself is a decent option. The common areas and rooms are clean and decently furnished - they're not 4-5 star level, but they work. The bathroom in my room had been updated with nice, modern fixtures. The service was a bit spotty - I had to call out to get someone to come out to the reception desk when I arrived, and the maid did not clean my room on the only full day I was there (despite the fact that I was out of the room from 8:30 am until 7 pm).
“eden review”
It was a good hotel two years back, but now the service and cleaning of rooms is not to the required standard compared to the price
“Good hotel with good location”
The hotel is conveniently located for people wanting to be walking distance (1 km) from many cool places (auditorium, canals, restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, some clubs). Like most things in Amsterdam, everything is small (beds, tv, shower) and like most places in Europe that are not elite hotels, there are no mini fridges/bars but vending machines in the lobby that discharge pop, snacks, and beer). If you can get a decent price, take it. It can be a very good value, which is somewhat hard to obtain in Amsterdam within 1 km of the major U-canals.

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
