“Really great location”
We were very pleased with this hotel except for the breakfast. This was not included with the room charge, and the additional cost was quite steep for an unimpressive buffet. We chose to have breakfast elsewhere as there are many cafes within a few blocks. The location is perfect for getting around on foot, tram, bus, or canal boat. We would be happy to stay there again.
“Canal Hotel in Amsterdam”
The Hotel was clean and although the street was busy with trams the hotel was quiet. The room was spacious and comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for its excellent location. Can't speak about the breakfast as we went out to eat and there is no shortage of surrounding restaurants who offer this. Van Gogh Museum is walkabe as are many other sites. Great base for a short stay.
“Perfect location, a perfect stay”
I didn't think it was possible to find value for money in a tourist mecca like Amsterdam, but it's nice to be proven wrong. This hotel is simply perfect - beautifully situated on the Prinzengracht canal. And, like the name "Prince" suggests, it's fit for royalty. Spacious room with giant windows overlooking the canal and boats, flooded with light, and beautifully furnished. The big bathroom with bath/shower looked new. Staff helpful, and gladly provided info and even an adapter plug. Breakfast is not included, and too expensive at 17,50 Euros a head, but no worries - head out to a cafe and fill up on coffee and pancakes there. I would highly recommend this hotel - it's the loveliest I've experienced in Europe so far, and I travel frequently. Enjoy! :-)
“shame it is non smoking”
hotel as described, flights on time, location better than described.will go again soon.
“Usual high quality”
I regularly stay at this hotel. The quality is consistent - I know i will be getting a clean, comfortable and well-maintained room. This occasion was no exception. The room was excellent in terms, both in terms of maintenance and location - it overlooked the canal. The windows were double-glazed, so there was no problem with noise. I could not fault the room: it had everything I needed. The hotel also benefits from its location - walking distance to museums and Vondelpark, but also within walking distance of the centre. It made for a really good visit. All in all, excellent value for money.
“EXCELLENT LOCATION”
Whilst this hotel is not the 4 star it claims, (3 star would be more appropriate) this is more than made up for by it's location which is central, right by a canal. This makes it very easy to find after a day or night out. Just find the right canal and turn left or right! Within a very short walk, there is an abundance of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. We did not breakfast in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, as it seemed a bit pricey. Drinks at the bar were not too high. Staff were very polite and helpful. We'd certainly recommend the hotel, and already have.
“Good Hotel”
The location was good. Right off a tram line. The room was a good size. The room and bathroom were clean. No A/C, but that was expected. Breakfast was not included. Friendly staff.
“Satisfied customer”
I regularly stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The hotel is ideally situated: I can walk to Vondelpark and the museums or stroll into the city. I have never had any problems. I always know what I am getting and will be returning again later in the year.
“Real Dutch hospitality”
Amsterdam is a city where everything is within walking distance and the D&T Fenice is ideally placed to make it an ideal centre point, the areas of interest radiating out from it in all directions: the canals, the concerthall, the shopping streets, the museums all but a step away and plenty of good eating places and night-life in the vicinity. Our room did have sounds of late-night revelery and trams from the street below, but it wasn't disturbing, more like faint background music. Internet is available, free for an hour or a small charge for 24 hours. Kettle in room with good selection of teas and coffee. Not super luxorious, this is a very attractive hotel. We had nothing to criticise except, be warned, the hot water is scalding hot. Adjust before getting under shower.
“Big rooms, clean with good breakfast”
Hotel is nice with huge rooms. Only problems is that there is no car park place nearby.

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
