Comfortable stay at great location

Posted 24-Sep-2014
This hotel was located very conveniently at the edge of Vondalpark with the number 1 tram directly in front. For those who prefer to walk into the city it's about a 30 min walk into the central area. It's a nice walk through the park. The staff were very friendly too. The rooms and toilets were very clean and I would stay here again.

Four days in Amsterdam

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: The Hotel was easy to find, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff on arrival and departure were friendly, polite, and professional.
Cons: The bathroom was very modern, containing both a separate shower and bath. However these were slim line and the shower and sink did tend to overflow.
Location: Quite away out but easy to get to and from on tram route 1. The local park was excellent, as the weather was fair, this was a must.
My wife and I booked the hotel after some long discussion on what we needed, based on the this the Conscious Hotel looked the best bet. The Hotel was easy to find being on the tram route 1 line with a stop right out side the hotel entrance. Although some km outside the main centre it was easy to travel in and out via tram, and on one occasion walking through Vondelpark both to and from De Kalvertoren, shopping area. Locally there was an excellent eatery 'Buuf' with a great sixties feel, and a smaller pub / bar right opposite the Hotel. Visiting the main museum's we soon realised that pre-buying tickets was the best way to visit these, with both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum being quite busy, the tickets allowing us to by pass the crowds. A canal trip on a warm afternoon was also well worth the effort as was the evening stroll around the redlight district. Overall the trip was excellent, service was good, and for a capital city a very friendly experience.

Words can't describe it.

We've never been to a hotel where we was sad to say goodbye. The hotel was located a tram ride away from the city centre, the staff were proficient and friendly, and the hotel was quiet, tidy and well catered for. We will definately be staying there again. Thank you, Concious Hotel.

Good hotel with room for improvement

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, and the eco-credentials (though that's not what I chose it)
Cons: Mini fridge / bar, and a kettle, please!
Location: Location is great for museums and to avoid crowds, make sure you go to the wonderful Vondelpark, just a couple of streets away.
Nice, clean, comfortable. Great location if you're in Amsterdam for the culture and not to party. The rooms are super basic, no coffee/tea making facilities or minibar, but beds are really comfy.

Was a nice hotel but unfortunately we were given a disabled room so the bathroom setout was different but overall a great stay.

Nice theme, need better execution

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: I would recommend trying out the breakfast for at least 1 morning. Most of the food are of good quality you won't regret it.
Cons: Most front desk staff are nice, but the ones working night shifts are not as experienced to handle requests professionally.
Location: Tram stop right at door takes u to Central Station and Canal Ring

A bit far from the centre, but very cosy.

Had a bit of a nightmare getting there, trams weren't running when we arrived so had a long walk from centraal station! But a very nice hotel. We were in tower B which is a bit of a trek from reception. Decent size room, comfy bed, very clean. Friendly staff. No kettle though! Expensive breakfast.

Perfect hotel for visit Amsterdam

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Easy to get there by car, nice people, reasonable price, own parking
Cons: The mirror lighting in the bathroom - impossible to do your make up
Location: Visit "Anne Frankhuis" is a must; very impressed. Order tickets online!
Very nice hotel near Vondelpark. Easy to take the tram to the Dam and other highlights, but we liked the 30 minute walk. We stayed in this hotel with kids and that worked out great. For breakfast/lunch we went to "Toasty" (2 minute walk), and "Bagels & Beans" (5 minute walk).
