“Reservations about reservations”
Well positioned for getting into town on the metro so ideal as we had driven there. Our first room was on the ground floor facing the carpark and the covered way outside served as a smoking area for all the residents and coach drivers it seemed. The smell in the room was awful. It was also quite noisy. Room wasnt terribly clean either. We transferred to a room upstairs at the back for the rest of the trip and that was absolutely fine.
“Needs updating”
Great for metro into city. Free Wifi and BBC TV. Rooms need a good deep clean and better lighting so you can read.
“Qaulity service hotel”
We were surprise to get such quality at value price
“Good quality simple Hotel with secure parking”
Stayed for 2 nights in October, found the staff friendly and helpful. The parking really was the main reason for staying here and they offer plenty of it and it is secure. A major plus point was the metro station is literally next door to the hotel and goes stright into the centre of Amsterdam in about 15-20 mins. The room itself was nothing special but I didn't expect a palace at this price (free tea and coffee in the room which would of been nice if it was drinkable!) Overall this is a great Hotel for anyone who is driving and comes recommended.
“Disappointed”
The staff clerk at the end of my stay was mean and hateful to me and even called me a liar, when I told her that I had never had to pay a city tax before in addition to the money that I already apid to Expedia. I was very disappointed that this city tax was not included in the previous price. The city tax is a hidden in the advertisement and a way to decive the consumer. I am dissatisfied with the complete transaction.
“OK”
When booking room for three adults, it was not clear that it would mean cramming a cot into an already too small room. It was only an overnight so it was OK, but would not do for a longer stay. Breakfast charge of 18 Euro seemed way too expensive.
“Great Hotel for driving to then easy access into Town Centre”
Room adequate for short stay, Breakfast Good Value.Metro Station next door
“excellent”
very good hotel in quite part of amsterdam,
“Ideal Base for Exploring Amsterdam”
The hotel has a car park, a rare feature in Amsterdam. In addition it is located in a quiet suburb, close to a park and only one minutes walk from a metro station. This was one end of a metro line to Central Station, a very convenient point from which to explore the city. We hope to spend more time in Amsterdam in future and will use this hotel as our base even if not travelling by car.
“Great stay in Amsterdam at the Campanile”
Just returned from a great weekend at The Campanile Hotel in Amsterdam. Must admit to being a bit wary having read some if the reviews, but was pleasantly suprised. The room was basic but clean with a huge double bed and TV. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We had the buffet breakfast every morning and found this to be good value to with a wide variety on offer including cereals, croissants, cold meats and cheeses as well as bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel itself is situated right next to the metro station at the end of the metro line from Central Station. Literally, you just walk out of the station, turn left and the hotel is right in front of you - so convenient! The ride into Amsterdam takes 20 minutes but the trains run every 5-10 minutes right up to midnight. It really was no bother at all. The hotel is also situated by a lovely park with a huge lake which is well worth a look. All in all we had a fantastic stay and I would go back there like a shot.
