“nice hotel”
Nice hotel, great location. The only cons is that the bed was very small and the internet connection was 13 euros a day.
“Good choice...”
I see that the hotel only gets a 3 out of 5 at the time or writing - but I rate it higher. I visit Amsterdam a few times per year, and have stayed at this hotel on half a dozen occasions - so its good enough to bring me back. Rooms are small - no matter which you book - and the singles are VERY single. However, finding rooms of significant size isn't easy in Amsterdam, and the cleanliness and service at this hotel makes up for it in this case. The location can't be beaten: very near the Rijksmuseum, some great restaurants and neighborhoods, and with easy access to the motorway out of town. Be warned - the museum district isn't really walking distance from the dead centre of town near the central station (especially on a cold night). But this is a very pleasant area in which to stay.
“Recommend!”
Perfect location!
“Great location and family friendly”
We liked everything about the hotel. We had a very comfortable room and the location was perfect. The only downside is the 17 euro charge for one day of internet. That's very high! Other then that we had a great stay
“splendid”
we shall return.
“Nice but just missing those extras you expect to be included.”
Very nice and comfortable hotel. Disspointing that the 'large' double bed is really two singles pushed together. For this standard of hotel you would also expect bottled water to be included, not 5 euros for a small bottle. WiFi should also be freee of charge.
“Excellent hotel and pleasant staff”
This hotel is in an excellent location and has a 5 star feel for a 4 star price. The staff were extremely helpful and the beds comfortable. This is our second stay here.
“Very close to museums”
Stayed for 2 nights in early September. Very presentable entrance foyer with pleasant and helpful staff. Room was small but perfectly adequate by Ams standards. However the rather basic bathroom was adequate but nearing its sell-by date and would benefit with a makeover. Did not sample the breakfast or bar, but appeared very expensive as is usual in this type of hotel. Walk for 5-10 mins towards the town centre to find plenty of alternative food/drink at somewhat cheaper prices. Unfortunately was awoken each night by noisy guests returning from a night on the town, but not the fault of the hotel. Could not be more convenient for Van Gogh etc. Happy to recommend.
“Delightful Modern Hotel”
I traveled by myself to Amsterdam and was a little uneasy about the experience at first. However, this hotel was so nice and comfortable that it felt right at home. It was very modern and upscale so felt more like you were a guest at someones house rather than in a hotel. There was no free breakfast which was a downside (and the breakfast that offered was outrageously expensive), but there is a cafe just up the street you can go to instead. Great location, just to the south of the hotel are all of the tourist areas. Make sure to get a map in English before going here if you only speak English. The hotel desk workers are fairly helpful but didn't give the best directions. Don't rely on them for a good map or advice, just bring a travel book. Overall awesome hotel, would go back again and recommend this to people. Good price for a good quality room!
“Great Value for the location”
I loved the quaint location and quiet yet being convenient to all the museums and tram for other location throughout the city. Shopping is great nearby. I will go back to this hotel again - but breakfast menu was so so for the price.
