Hotel in good locality

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Issues with the air conditioning. Our upstairs room was quite hot at night, due to a rather sunny and hot November day. Adjusting the temperature control made no difference. When I asked about this the next day the explanation given was that because the hotel was a green hotel the air conditioning was disabled if the outside temperature was low.No good if your room temp is high!

Great hotel

Great hotels in a quiet suburban area with good amenities, also close to some top museums and good tram links into Amsterdam travel time approx 15 mins and we didn't have to wait for a tram more than 10mins

Great hotel - great location

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: The room was very nice and the hotel restaurant was fabulous. Make sure you get a table. The quality of the food is outstanding.
Cons: I was expecting a view of the river/canal. Otherwise, this is a very nice hotel in a very nice city.
Location: The hotel is about 2 blocks from the tram line that will take to the city and the train station as well as the metro line to the airport.
Rooms were very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but for such a fancy hotel I would expect a little better designed bathroom. I think they need to be remodeled. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of town that seemed very upscale.

Wonderful staff

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Air conditioning. Amenities. Quality of the food for dining
Location: Walking distance to all. That was great
Loved the staff, great very personable and always striving to please!,, The room was just so so , warm and no resolve other than to give us a fan. I would not rate this as a five star hotel We have traveled a lot and stay at the Four Seasons , Hilton's , Peabody etc. to name a few, they are 5 star. I would tell friends that the staff, Marten, Frankie, Michele just to name a few would cause me to recommend a stay, but the price and the rating needs to be adjusted. We did love it's off the main path location were so happy thT we had a room with a balcony so that we could ope the door and place the fan as to bring in the cool evening air to sleep. We were told by management that they do not have air conditioning per say, the have a climate control system. It is not up to the task of cooling a room.

Good alternative to the Hilton

More economical, homely and friendly than the Hilton. My preferred choice when attending events there.

Pros: how well it located , the very nice staff that helped me with my questions
Cons: Air Cooling could be a little better (but in the winter it will be great I believe), and the windows cannot be opened (at least from my room)
Location: TRAM , VAN GOGH MUSEUM , RUCKS MUSEUM, CENCERT PLACE
very well located, 5 minutes walk from Tram , nice restaurants in the area .
