“Not Impressed”

The location was excellent, the staff was not. I did not feel welcomed, it seemed as if the staff felt they could do without my business. There was only front desk staff person who was helpful all others acted if I was a bother to them. Bad business.

Hotel was just as described. Perfect base for wondering round Amsterdam. Trams just outside so easy to get about. Room small but perfectly functional. Wifi worked well to. Quite a noisy area with cars people and trams but no problem with window Closed.

“Great stay”

A good surprise very comfortable and convenient. Travelling alone very safe and so many eating places close by.

“Staff are friendly and informative”

Great location and worth the price you paid. Its more of a single/couple type of accomodation and not really good for family with small children as the rooms are small and the passage from the lift to your room is dark with no natural light. Plenty of Restaurants around and a 10 minutes walk to Central Station to get to the Airport. ALWAYS asked for a room away from the front street. Although you can have a view of the street but the tram cars are running from early morning till midnight. Will deffinately be going back.

“Little Critters”

Aside from the location this hotel is wasn't nice at all. My room had mice as soon as I turned out the lights, I wasn't the only one cause my second night our whole hallway got woken up by a young screaming and crying girl that also encountered mice in their room. The walls are very thin, you here noice all night long from inside and outside of the hotel. Yes it is across from central station which is great, if you don't mind walking a few minutes or taking a cab you can be slightly further out of city center and probably get something cleaner and better value for your money.. If you do decide to stay I strongly recommend taking some febreeze to freshen up the room. Don't take the shuttle especially in rush hour, cheaper and easier to just walk across the street and get on the train.

“A Cautious Thumbs-Up”

I was here just last week and the location is second to none. You can get off the train and be in your room in about 7 minutes. You walk out the door and there are several coffee shops in the immediate area. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. The comfort of the beds left a lot to be desired. I was in a double-bedded room and while one bed was crap the other was good so hit and miss. Also, I was room 105. AVOID THAT ROOM! You are right next to the entrance to gives access to all rooms on the first floor. You can hear people coming in and out all night. Also there is a window in that room by the view is of nothing! You face other rooms! The upside is that you don't hear any trams go by! The hotel is very secure as well with multiple key-card access required so no need to worry there. Overall I would definitely go back BUT I would ask to test the bed in the room before accepting it! :)

“Can't beat the location.”

If you need a basic, clean hotel right across the street from the Central Train Station then this is your place. Most Amsterdam atractions are within walking distance as well. My only complaint is that I asked for a 6 am wake up call on the morning of my departure and never got one, causing me to miss my flight back to the US!
