“Good service in an old hotel”

Dont stay here! Rooms are disgusting, food is not good. Only good thing is that its walking distance to Petra entrance.

“nice hotel”

Pros: very friendly staff, fast check-in and check-out, and nice resturant. Cons:The room was a bit small, but neat. They had metal dedector at the enterence. As for their elevators, you have to use your room key, and sometimes it gets irresponsive due to many keys being swiped into it! There is no free WiFi to be found even in the lobby. Internet charge is outrageously expensive. So, I recommend buying a SIM card with internet access for about 10 JD.

Must see

I would recommend visiting Jarash. It's about 45 minutes from the hotel. A cab may cost you around 40 JD.

“One of the finest hotels in Amman”

The Kempinski is an elegant, quiet and very secure hotel located in the heart of the Shemsanni District of Amman. A wonderful place to hold meetings, host friends and to relax from your travels. The hotel has its own fine dinning experience as well as being surroiunding by several restaurants within easy walking distance. The Staff is top flight and extremely professional.

“Mildly Pleasurable”

The hotel is in a beautifully central location in Amman. There was plenty to do with in a walking distance (Shops / Boutiques, Bars and Lounges, Restaurants). The rooms were clean and the service was of a high standard. The Televisions were ancient however and the bathrooms could be more plush. Lastly on the negative side the security getting into and out of the hotel seemed a little excessive. Spikes at the main gate, Metal detectors int he lobby. Kind of felt like you were walking into a government building. All in all though, a mildly pleasurable experience and i would recommend it for short stays in Amman.

“Definitely recommend Kempinski!!!”

My friend and I booked the Kempinski as part of a last minute deal not knowing what to expect. Turns out we were really happy with it! The hotel itself was all you need - clean, smart, spacious, good food etc but what really made our stay at the Kempinski Amman was how fantastic the staff were. The guys working there couldn't have been more lovely - friendly and efficient and generally lovely. They made everything easy for us and their drivers were fab too...one of their taxi drivers drove us to Madaba when our external driver stood us up. He brought us round all the notable sights and was generally just fab!!! Also try baklava in the Zalatinov patisserie around the corner. Mmmmh ! : )

Area recommendations

We stayed in the Shmeisani area which was fine. To be honest, no matter where you stay in Amman, you need to rely on Taxis to get around.

Clean comfortable room with all modern amenities. Friendly staff and helpful. Good location to shops and food mall.
