Overall, is a very nice place for honeymoon couples!
The staffs are very humble, pleasant and helpful.All the meals are good.
Expecially, mushroom soup ! wow! never had such a rich and thick mushroom like that!
Beautiful little hotel with warm hearted owner and staff. They effortlessly made you feel a part of the family and the furniture. Amazing views across the ocean and to the volcano. Some of the sunsets were simply awe inspiring. Crystal clear water right out in front and coral snorkelling not far they take you in a boat. Perfect for us who wanted to laze about in quiet beauty. Shut the gate!! This ones a winner!!

We had a great relaxing three weeks in Lipah. We arrived at 5.30am to NO bottled water, they knew what time we where arriving as I had emailed them to organise a taxi for us. We planned ahead with the taxi as we knew bartering for a taxi at 2.30am after 17 hours travelling was not going to be nice. I'm glad we did as it looked like the only taxi drivers where one's with name tags. The bungalow was very basic, and by western standards dirty. The staff tried very hard to please us, but the bungalow is not automatically cleaned and you have to ask, we also had to point out large cobwebs they had missed (we are not 5 star clean freaks we just like the basics). Our bed was a superking (6ft) which is what we are use too (underneath had never been dusted). We didn't use the wardrobe as it smelt very damp. The AC worked on one setting, full on. Over head fans worked very well. The kitchenette was helpful for morning tea/coffee but we did have to buy a pan for £1 from the shop next door (apparently the owner also owns). The staff where very nice, they even brought us umbrella's as we had a couple of days of rain. The bungalows are of a local style and at the top of all the glass windows is open with just misquote nets. This means you can here everything around, screaming baby's, arguments, scraping chairs and late night chatter. The road can be noisy with the local lads passing regularly with loud exhausts on there scooters, we are used to some traffic noise and at night it was quiet.
Upon arrival the hotel appeared closed, after waking someone up it became apparent that they were not expecting us.
The meals were poor, and in the evening it was necessary to eat early as the restaurant was closed by 20:00 if you stayed longer you got the impression that you were imposing on the staff. As a result we ate out most of the time.
Room cleaning was done every day however in the 10 days we were there the towels and sheets were changed only once and that was at our request.
The staff repeatedly badgered us to book trips through the hotel stating that they get a commission if we did. When we did not they seemed quite annoyed. The local fishermen were also very persistent at trying to get you to book trips with them, going so far as to come into the restaurant in the morning whilst you were eating. The staff did nothing to discourage this.
