“Heard it was good....”
Great place to stay! Whoever has commented this is a little bit out of the way are crazy, its a 2 minute walk from Amalfi Centre. The view is great and breakfast on the terrace is awesome. Staff the friendliest I have come across and they speak great English. Would recommend to anyone as this is great value for money!
“Villa Lara & Anna Lara, charms, tranquillity, best services I've ever received, will recommend.”
Villa Lara & Villa Anna Lara, one of the best 2 hotels ever. Excellent services, charming people. (Nello & Manuel are the best ) Will recommend to people and can't wait to visit again if & when I get a chance.
“Top choice”
At first, I was very hesitant to book the hotel but I was curious with some feedback written from other sites so I decided to give it a go. They have some mixed reviews but the bottom line is that the room was comfortable and the view from the balcony was great. No question about the quality of service as I experienced it myself. I can not fault Luca and Alessandro. The people who runs this small B&B are professionals and with the right amount of friendliness for tourist like me (and my boyfriend) to feel welcome and comfortable. The room itself is small and adequate. There is enough space for my and my boyfriend and the most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. My recommendation is to give this a go. Apart from the comfort, value for money and excellent service, I would add that the setting of the hotel is so unique. A 5 minute walk from the marina (uphill) and the hotel is on top a hill. But not to worry, there is a lift at the end of the tunnel to get to the hotel. I did not see this a problem at all. Recommendations where to eat and where to go are spot on but my bf and I did explore on our own and we found little gems here and there.

Area:
Amalfi, Italy: A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfis star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
