“Plain and Simple but nice”

Don't stay here if you want a good view, unless other peoples balconies are your thing! However well equipped, clean, good value accomodation with friendly helpful staff. Balcony could have done with an awning or parasol but a good value place to stay in a lovely frinedly Italian resort.

Area recommendations
Amalfi coast beautiful and regular buses make most of it accessible but not really for any one with mobility difficulties and prepare to make lots of friends with your fellow bus passangers as you will be very close to them!
Getting there
We flew to Naples, got bus connection to Sorrento for ten euros, then Sita all day ticket for 7.20 euros to Amalfi and then connection to Maiori. No problems but take your time and stop for something to eat and drink on the way, but not the Mayflower in Sorrento it was horrible!

“Spacious, spotless and spartan, an ideal home away from home”

Our apartment was spacious and very clean with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Two supermarkets, plus great places for meat, fish and really fresh fruit and veg. were in easy walking distance. Ditto excellent restaurants. An evening walk along the seafront was a "must" for the wonderful people watching. Only small complaint, they should supply dish cloths, soap,and cleaning supplies if they want it fully cleaned before we check out. We were extremely satisfied and would go back to La Divina. Maiori is a wonderful location for exploring the Amalfi coast, Pompeii etc.

Traveller's tip
It seemed like the entire population of Maiori came out at night to walk the seafront or the wonderful pededstrian area close by where you could enjoy a coffee or dinner outside and watch this passing parade of families and friends with kids who never seemed to go to bed. So noisy, colourful and entertaining.

“Sehr Gut”

Die Lage des Apartment Hotels ist in einer Seitenstraße, daher auch angemessen ruhig. Supermarkt sowie Strandpromenade sind in nur wenigen Minuten ereichbar. Liegen u. Schirme am Pool sind vorhanden. Liegen und Schirme am Strand müssen über das Hotel Panorama gebucht und bezahlt werden. Für die Klasse drei Sterne ist dieses Haus hervorragend.

“Studio/ appartement sur la côte amalfitaine”

Studio/ appartement très propre, très fonctionnel, très grand, d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Un peu à l'écart de la plage (à 200m max), au calme, avec une piscine. Réception très sympathique. Parking couvert à disposition, compris dans le prix. Maiori est peut être la ville la moins jolie de la côte, mais la plage est très belle, très grande, on est peut être un peu excentré à Maiori par rapport aux autres villes, notamment les plus éloignées Positano ou Praiano. Mais nous étions avec un enfant de 18 mois et de ce fait l'appartement était parfait pour pouvoir se faire à manger le soir tout en le couchant au calme. Nous avons trouvé le prix d'un très bon rapport qualité/ prix et c'est ce que nous avons trouvé de mieux dans le secteur.

Area recommendations
Praiano et la petite baie marina di praia avec ses restaurants de poisson, les balades entre furore et praiano. Positano bien sûr, Amalfi un peu déçu. Ravello magnifique avec les jardins de la villa rufolo (je crois) : des vues splendides!
Getting around
nous avions loué une voiture, mais il y avait déjà du monde (en avril), je suppose que l'été c'est l'enfer et que de se déplacer en bus c'est beaucoup mieux !
Dining
les restaurants de poisson à marina di praia et le restaurant, pupetto à positano (sur la place la plus à l'écart) : très familial, très italien et excellent ! sinon étant donné que nous étions en appartement : acheter de la mozarella fraiche, des tomates et du basilic : et faites vous même une salade caprese !
Outdoors or beach
La plage de Maiori est très belle et très pratique (plus grande que celle des autres villes)
