Excellent staff. 10 minutes from town center.

The best thing about the hotel was the helpful and friendly staff and its location. Be ready to walk steps but it is only a 10 minute walk to town. The views are incredible and the restaurant is great. I even loved the soaps and toiletries!

Beautiful views of Positano

Posted 01-Oct-2014
Pros: View of Positano, staff friendly, balcony, own restaurant
Stayed just for two nights but will stay longer next time. Had room on 3rd floor in attic but was a lovely room with balcony. Staff we're extremely helpful and friendly. They have their own restaurant and food was lovely. Amazing eating breakfast, lunch or dinner outside hotel with views over Positano. Bit of a walk from beach but the walk down is worth it for taking photos and you can catch local bus back up if don't want to walk, stop right outside hotel.

Best Views in Positano

Posted 17-Sep-2014
This family owned boutique hotel is well located and easy to find on the main street in Positano. Parking is conveniently arranged nearby. The views from both the rooms and restaurant are the best in this beautiful seaside town. The suites are spacious and offer small balconies to relax and enjoy the view. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful for recommendations. The wine selection at the hotel restaurant is one of the best in our travels through Italy. The location is perfect for visiting the town but everywhere in Positano expect steps up or down- part of the charm of the Amalfi Coast.

Small Hotel... Great View

The view was amazing. The Breakfast was minimal. Expect a lot of stairs in Positano

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience of your stay here with us. Regarding the breakfast we exactly serve a continental buffet breakfast, how clearly described in the booking, but from next year we should add more dishes which are closer to an English breakfast. Positano is a vertical city and not surely a good place for who doesn't love to walk. Even if our hotel is on street level is possible to use the public local bus which runs every 30 minutes and cross all the historic center. The bus stop is just beside the hotel.

Perfect for a couple on vacation...

We truly loved our stay at Villa Gabrisa. Our room balcony had a fabulous view, the hotel restaurant had excellent seafood and seaview seating, and the room itself was clean and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is a bit uphill (about a 30 minute walk) from the grand beach area but worth it for the hillside view and local sights along the way. Very easy access by bus or taxi, and there is a small local bus you can take to and from the beach. The only minor complaint I can think of is the bed was too firm but that appeared to be the case throughout Italy so irrelevant overall. Enjoy! You will love it here. ps...no need for a pool in Positano, the ocean water is amazing...

Nice hotel with good views of sea.

Pros: Its views.
The hotel is high on the Positano cliffs and not too easy to reach unless you do not mind walking a lot. My room was rather small and with a sloping ceiling. It is an old hotel but pleasant.

Great Vantage Point but a hike from town square

Posted 11-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Villa Gabrisa is a beautiful and quaint "Small Luxury Hotel" with great service. The breakfast on the side of the road, across the hotel, has a a breathtaking view of the beaches of Positano below. The hotel, however, is far from the town square (20-30mins walk, which can be painful on the way back up). That said there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is convenient. In sum, this is a great hotel if you are paying around $200-250 (a little steep if you are paying over $250).

Wonderful hotel, helpful staff.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days on a trip to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. This place is top notch. The views were breathtaking, the service was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Also the restaurant in the hotel has great food. If you are staying along the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend this hotel in Positano.

Lovely boutique hotel, stunning location

Posted 04-Aug-2014
This hotel really can't be faulted, the location is gorgeous, staff are very helpful, and the restraurant cooked us some of the best pasta we enjoyed on our visit to Positano! We stayed in a standard room, which was spacious, had a nice clean bathroom, and whilst the balcony was small, the view was perfect. Overall would highly reccomend to couples, and we'd love to return one day!
