A comfortable hotel which is good value.

Posted 01-Oct-2014
Pros: Breakfast was a very good cold buffet and included a wide range of foods. The staff that were present were friendly and attentive.
Cons: Some help with carrying suitcases to rooms would be good, as the hotel doesn't have a lift and there is a long flight of stairs to the first floor.
Location: We enjoyed visits to Pompei and Vesuvius. Ravello is relaxing and has breathtaking views. Anacapri is beautiful, and also has fabulous views.
We stayed in this hotel for nine days and were pleased with our choice. The hotel is very clean, and the room that we had was spacious and had a lovely sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful: the only complaint that I have in this area was that one early morning call was 40 minutes late, which nearly caused us to miss our trip that day. Otherwise, all staff were excellent. We ate at some very good restaurants. Our favourite local restaurant is on the coastal path between the two beaches and is called Lo Guarracino. The views are breathtaking and the food is excellent. If you want to eat away from Positano, then try La Terre up in the mountains. The hotel will book your table, and transport to and from the restaurant is included in the bill. I found the food at this restaurant to be outstanding. If you want to eat close to the hotel and want to escape the cars and buses which constantly pass through the town, then try Valle Dei Mulina. Unfortunately, at some of the other local restaurants we found that traffic was passing within two feet of our table, which wasn't very relaxing to say the least.

Lovely hotel

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Individual character, location
Cons: Breakfast coffee
Location: The whole of the Amalfi coast
Lovely hotel, individual style, elegant. Positano is a short walk away and, in common with the whole Amalfi coast, is very hilly. Great location for a short break. Driving, as we did, is an interesting experience in this area and it's not easy to drive to the hotel. That said, it's an experience not to be missed.

Fabulous view and fantastic staff

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: Staff, location and room.
Cons: Honestly, nothing.
Location: Great location and close to all there is to do.
Maria who runs the hotel is absolutely fabulous. She works so hard all day and is extremely attentive to all her guests. An absolute pleasure to have someone so friendly, helpful and happy during our stay. The rooms are absolutely adorably quaint with plenty of space. Everything is clean and the terrace is a bonus with a wonderful view of Positano. The location is excellent as it is close to the main square and a short walk down to the beach area. We would definitely recommend this hotel as it is excellent and an incredible value.

The location if hotel gave easy access to both lower and upper positano, and provided an incredible view from the terrace of the room. Service was wonderful and the hotel was very comfortable. We would definitely return.

Great location and very well maintained hotel. Central to everything in Positano and there's an excellent cafe next door with healthy breakfast and lunch options.

Loved Positano

The hotel was great and in a perfect location. Not too far up hill but not right at bottom. The staff was so friendly and we loved the breakfast they provided.

great view if you get a balcony room.

Posted 24-May-2014
Pros: The views are great. Breakfast is wonderful and it's an easy walk to the beach.
Cons: Nothing...just be advised of what type of room you get. For Positano $119 should be a no balcony room. So I'm sure if was a mistake on the web site.
Location: Location is walkable to shopping and beach. Restaurants close by and is the ferry and bus line. Overall a great experience at this hotel
We booked a classic room with balcony for the price of $119 US dollars. When we got there it was a room (while nice...actually quite lovely) but no balcony and NO window...just a skylight that opened. We complained and the owner did say it was a mistake on the web site. He did ask us to stay in the room for one night and he gave us a lovely room with a view. He did change the web site but be where...the lower price price has no windows .. sort of like an inside cabin but with a skylight. For the value and location is would be just great.
