Fabulous Balcony View

Posted 12-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
We loved this hotel! Our rooms overlooked the town and we had fabulous views of the sea from our balconies. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast buffet had a variety of foods to choose from. We had some problems connecting to the internet but eventually that was resolved. I would highly recommend the Royal Prisco.

Localização Privilegiada em Positano!!

Posted 27-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com

What a gem of a place...

Posted 23-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Could hardly believe how lucky we got booking this place. Fantastic staff, very helpful and courteous. Thank you Michelangelo and Maria. Nice decor and very clean. Lovely clean room (#11) with a balcony and great view by day or night. Situated perfectly, extremely close to shops, restaurants and the marina. Several other great restaurants and hotel bars a short walk up the hill. Many hotels/restaurants higher up the mountain will send a car service for you and take you back if you make dinner reservations. Favorite local restaurants: Da Vinczeno and Next2. Favorite mountain restaurant, Da Constantino, plus fantastic views from window tables. Owner's niece, Aiada, is wonderful.

Great place to end our trip of Italy

Posted 16-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Good stay. Large room with small distant sea view. Great bathroom. Staff were helpful on planning day. Only negative was getting directions from port was not helpful but we found it. It is up Positano a bit but can walk down to water in less than 10mins

A comfortable hotel which is good value.

Pros: Breakfast was a very good cold buffet and included a wide range of foods. The staff that were present were friendly and attentive.
Cons: Some help with carrying suitcases to rooms would be good, as the hotel doesn't have a lift and there is a long flight of stairs to the first floor.
Location: We enjoyed visits to Pompei and Vesuvius. Ravello is relaxing and has breathtaking views. Anacapri is beautiful, and also has fabulous views.
We stayed in this hotel for nine days and were pleased with our choice. The hotel is very clean, and the room that we had was spacious and had a lovely sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful: the only complaint that I have in this area was that one early morning call was 40 minutes late, which nearly caused us to miss our trip that day. Otherwise, all staff were excellent. We ate at some very good restaurants. Our favourite local restaurant is on the coastal path between the two beaches and is called Lo Guarracino. The views are breathtaking and the food is excellent. If you want to eat away from Positano, then try La Terre up in the mountains. The hotel will book your table, and transport to and from the restaurant is included in the bill. I found the food at this restaurant to be outstanding. If you want to eat close to the hotel and want to escape the cars and buses which constantly pass through the town, then try Valle Dei Mulina. Unfortunately, at some of the other local restaurants we found that traffic was passing within two feet of our table, which wasn't very relaxing to say the least.

Lovely hotel

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Individual character, location
Cons: Breakfast coffee
Location: The whole of the Amalfi coast
Lovely hotel, individual style, elegant. Positano is a short walk away and, in common with the whole Amalfi coast, is very hilly. Great location for a short break. Driving, as we did, is an interesting experience in this area and it's not easy to drive to the hotel. That said, it's an experience not to be missed.
