Lovely room with balcony and awesome view

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Staff were a family and worked so well together. Very friendly and welcoming and helped with tour bookings. Room had a superb balcony with amazing view over the town and coastline. Clean and well serviced room. Wi-fi worked well. Very good location with easy walk down to shops and beach. Good shops beside hotel and great restaurants close by. Breakfast was OK but not great. Lovely room nicely decorated and overall very good value.

beautiful view of Positano, see view

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: the see view
Cons: for the television add English or French channel was only Italian.
Location: for shopping was excellent, on a main road.
very easy to find from the hill, many boutiques. they only negative issue was the noise of the scooter from the road. except that everything was excellent.

it was kinda in the hotel.....

Posted 03-May-2014
We booked for two adults and two children. We ended up in an "apartment suite" kinda above the hotel. This was at the booked room rate. It had three rooms all facing the thin veranda an unimpeded view through glass doors east across town and down the coast. It had a kitchenette and a washing machine in one of the rooms. Breakfast was walk down to the street and back into the main hotel and the hotel owner even accepted those disgusting 500 euro notes you can't use anywhere. Yes the beds/breakfast could have been better but Positano is expensive and the standard was not inappropriate. The main hotel is on the bus route loop down into town hence a road rather than an narrow alley so it is not too hard to find. If coming by ferry consider the luggage service as it is all uphill from the port. I guess I would consider staying here again.

Fantastic Location, Clean and Spacious Rooms

Posted 21-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
We absolutely loved this hotel in Positano. It was in a fantastic lovation with many great restaurants and cafes right outside the door. The local bus drops off right in front of the hotel and there are steps down to the beach right outside the hotel front entrance. My friend and I are notorious for getting lost everywhere we go but this hotel was so conveniently situated that it made our time in Positano a dream. We even extended our trip by a few days. The rooms were very spacious, especially for European hotel rooms, and the room and bathrooms were very clean. The beds and linens aren't the softest but that was not really an issue for us. The views from all the rooms are amazing so I think this hotel is good for romantic trip and spacious enough rooms for family trip.

Too close to the street - really noisy

Posted 13-Oct-2013
Just too much noise bing on the street ... Several other hotels priced similarity in a similar area for the same price but much quieter.

Bed too hard, nice view, great service

Posted 11-Jun-2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel is good value for the price. But the bed is too hard and the towels they provided were not very comfy. The location is good and it provides a good view. Across the street there is direct staircases to the beach. But it's quite a walk! The staff is very nice and helpful.

Great gem for a good price.

Posted 06-Jun-2013
The Hotel is a family run gem with fantastic views of Positano, the beach, and the Med beyond from most rooms. The owner and staff are accommodating in that anything that is not quite right is set right without further thought. Although parking is a challenge as with most, if not all hotels on the Amalfi coast, you car is taken care of for you without delay and returned whenever you request it. Parking is 21 euros a day and well worth it.

Wonderful room with a partial view

This hotel is on the main street in Positano and in a good location of the city. It was a great stay for a last minute booking. The complimentary brunch was delicious with its cereal, yogurt, pastries, prosciutto and cheeses with coffee. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our requests.
