“Ant infestation plus rude staff”
We arrived at 9:00 at night and the room was stifling hot. We turned on the wall air conditioning unit but it did nothing to cool the room down even over the remainder of our stay we could not cool the room. Also on arrival we noticed a few ants in the room, thought nothing of it as it was a beach hotel and some insects are to be expected. However the next morning we woke up to find 1000s of ants swarming the room and in my friends suitcase. We complained to the front desk and they said they would have the maid clean them when she cleaned the room. This is not enough to get rid of an ant infestation. Ants still remained and the hotel did nothing to compensate us. Additionally, they charged for the beach. Now I know this is custom in Italy, but that fact should be included in the rate or mentioned on their website and certainly this one. On Sunday we checked out and weren't leaving til evening and were planning on using the beach but we were not allowed to use the hotel beach any longer because we were no longer guests. This was the most troubling as the day before we brought 3 guests with us to the beach - they were not guests of the hotel! They then escorted us to a public pay beach where the employees were complete jerks to us. We were 3 girls and willing to pay for 3 beds but they would not allow us, we were only allowed to pay for 3 people to use 2 bed and 1 umbrella. Terrible service - one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Find a better place to stay!
“Good location and decent value for money”
Stayed here for three nights. The location is good and they have their own private beach. However they charge euro 10 per day additional to the room rate to use it. The negatives were that they shut down the air conditioning in the night and the breakfast in the morning is very basic. The staff at breakfast room also are not very service oriented. The swimming pool on roof is very tiny.
“Good location for area”
Stayed in rooms fronting Sea. Beds were hard and air con turned off at midnite. Staff was helpful and most could help in English. Breakfast buffet was okay to start the day. Our rooms were in good shape, but when air went off at midnite it got hot. Several good rest just south of hotel and Nettuno at the south end was worth the walk. Only ate breakfast at hotel, many options in and near Maiori for food.
