“Jeff”
Situated a ten minute walk away from town centre, but the walk is pleasant and not too taxing. I say this because the hotel is situated on the cliffs above the town but as I say the walk is ok and worth it as the hotel's position does mean it has a breathtaking view of the coastline and although it does seem little hard to believe every room does have a sea view and the view from the restaurant is equally as stunning. All the staff are polite, helpful without being intrusive and all speak english. The only fault I can raise with the hotel is the 15 euros a day they charge for car parking, but when you see the cliff top road you may find like I did it's a small price to pay for piece of mind. My trip was out of season so I can't comment on the pool as it and the sun deck at the foot of the cliffs was closed. All I can say is, the photo's are a true representation of the hotel and I would quite gladly visit there again. Hope this helps you.
“Stunning view!”
The view is stunning. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast excellent.
“I would stay at Miramalfi if I visit Amalfi...”
Excellent location with splendid views!! Fabulous experience! Very friendly staff. As a family, this was probably the best holiday we had; we thank all the staff at Miramalfi for their hospitality; my dayghter was all over the moon! On the day of our departure, the staff packed breakfast for all of us and I think that was quite nice of them; we enjoyed "Miramalfi breakfast" at Naples airport! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amalfi. No second thoughts...
“Beautiful Views.......But that's about the end of it”
The hotel has absolutely breathtaking views, however the hotel is not in great condition and the service is lacking. The elevators are very slow and the shake constantly when you get in them, the beds extremely hard and uncomfortable even by European standards, and there are ants in the room due to plants outside. Additionally the front desk is not helpful and cannot understand English very well
“A great choice for a hectic city.”
This hotel was not in the very heart of Amalif, but was a quick 5-7 minute ride from the hotel. We called the hotel from the port where our boat docked and they sent a man from the hotel to pick us up within 10 minutes! They also provided 5-6 times a day when they would take you to the heart of the town and 5-6 times to bring you back to the hotel. So that was very convenient. The hotel was lovely and the staff was exceptional. Our room had a wonderful balcony overlooking the sea and we could easily see the lights of Amalfi from our lounge chairs. They provided a nice breakfast every morning and we had a great dinner at their restaurant. I would highly recommend going to the Locanda del Marinaio restaurant in Amalfi. We ate their three times! Suggestion: If you want to tip the waiter, pay him/her separately with cash.
“Great location, pity about the food”
The location and view from the hotel are wonderful and you could not wish for better. The food in the hotel lets it down. The food is overpriced and far from the best available in the area. They only make pizza once a week for lunch. I recommend eating in the town at the many extremely good restaurants. The hotel offers a Barbeque dinner party option which i suggest is avoided as it is exteremely expensive for what it offers and we did not enjoy it at all. It consists of cold grilled vegetables, a tablespoon of paste, a small piece of cold grilled fish and a grilled prawn which as I am allergic to shellfish was unable to eat as they mixed the fish with shellfish on preparation and serving (when I mentioned to the waiter that I could not eat this no alternative was offered). They meat course for the meal consisted of a kebab with of a 2cm x 1 cm piece of beef and a similar size piece of chicken the rest consisted of peppers. There was a fair selection of desserts but by this point the meal had already been far from enjoyable and they did not make up for the disappointment.
“Great view, good rooms, very nice pool!”
The highlight here is the view, as the hotel is right there on a cliff overseeing the ocean! The pool area is very comfortable with chairs and service. They even have a deck where you can access the ocean very easily for a swim. Another PRO on this one is they have a parking lot, something very hard to find in the narrow road of Amalfi Coast
“Fantastic views”
Very pleasant hotel. 15 minute walk uphill from town centre, but worth it for the views. The hotel also has a free shuttle service which runs approx 6 times per day. Fantastic pool area and access to sea with sunbeds. Recommend booking room with large balcony - much better position than other rooms.
“Awesome View”
Awesome view, rooms were clean, fair size, close to town of Amalfi, friendly staff, overall great place to stay, I would stay again in a moment.
“Stunning views and great service”
We chose Amalfi as a base for a 1-week holiday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed by the hotel or the romantic, picturesque village. The room was clean, modern and spacious and had a small balcony overlooking the bay - wonderful! The breakfasts were great - cereals, fruit juice, cold meats, pastries, bacon and eggs, yoghourts and fresh fruit - the list is almost endless. The staff were charming and particularly helpful when we left our camera on a public bus. Just a few drawbacks however - - the evening meals in the hotel restaurant were less impressive - small portions which were overly expensive. - it was the end of March and deemed to be 'out of season' so the hotel shuttle bus was not running the mile trip into Amalfi and back and the public buses stopped at 8pm. This would have been a problem for anyone with mobility problems as, although the trip to town was all downhill, the opposite was true of the return journey. The 'shortcut' back involved 207 steps!! - digital television sets (in all rooms) received almost 200 channels - all in Italian. Our request for someone to try to tune in an English-speaking channel was fruitless. The guests in the hotel were mainly English, American, Australian, German and Japanese so all would have appreciated perhaps CNN news........... n.b. Italian hotels tend not to have tea and coffee-making facilities so do take mugs and a travel kettle unless you want a huge bill for room service!

Area:
Amalfi, Italy: A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfis star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
