“Outstanding Amalfi Coastal View”

Hotel Graal reigned supreme. This hotel was a gem amongst nearby 5 star hotels with a view of the Amalfi Coast that reigned supreme. Family owned and operated with an exceptionally helpful staff. Fabulous in house restaurant and a great location if you want to enjoy the quaint town of Ravello or take a short bus ride to Amalfi. Breakfast in the am comes with your room and was a buffet style setting that was more than generous. We will return!

Area recommendations
Ravello is charming and historic. We enjoyed many cozy restaurants and shops during our 10 day stay. We walked throughout Ravello without the need of taxi or car; very easy to get around.
Dining
DO NOT miss Cumpa Cosimo! By far some of the best food on the Amalfi Coast! Family owned and Danielo is as charming as he is funny.

“A bit outdated but a good overall value”

The staff at Hotel Graal did a great job of accomodating all of our needs. I was a bit disappointed when we first arrived because the rooms are a bit outdated. The longer we stayed the more the hotel grew on us. The rooms are clean and spacious and the bathroom had all the modern conveniences one would hope for. A bit of artwork on the walls and updated bedspreads and draperies would do wonders to improve the first impression made by our room. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Be sure to spend an evening in their restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere and view were even more impressive.

“Wonderful hotel in Ravello”

Absolutely love this hotel!Every room over looks the bay, wonderful staff, great service.Location 2 min. walk from the bus stop.If you are looking for a great place to stay on the amalfi coast this is the place.Great price, large rooms in a lovely hotel.Can't say enough, was the highlight of our italian trip!

“A decent hotel in a good location.”

We liked this hotel, but it couldn't compete with the more elaborate hotels we had in Sorrento and Amalfi. It was clean and comfortable, but pretty plain. We did have a great balcony, with a table and chairs, overlooking the water and town. The view was fantastic. The staff were very nice, but didn't speak English as well as the staff in other hotels. The location was GREAT.

Area recommendations
A lot of people make Revello a day trip. We stayed two nights and I wish we had stayed three. It's a beautiful, delightful town and the main attractions were awesome. After stays in Sorrento and Amalif, I was ready to slow things down a little. The Villa Rufolo was so beautiful. I took so many pictures of this place and it's spectacular gardens that my camera battery took a beating. Villa Cimbrone was nice too, but not nearly as spectacular as Villa Rufolo. We went to a piano recital one night and it was fantastic, even though it was in a smallish room within Villa Cimbrone (we thought it was going to be outside).
Dining
We had a lunch and dinner at Ristorante Garden, which was right by our hotel. The food, service and views were spectacular. If you go, you MUST have their "lemon cream puff" for dessert - forget that diet just for this day if you have to!

“Ravello stay”

A pleasant hotel very close to the quaint Ravello main square. Convenient as well, as it has a garage where we parked our car for only 11 euros per night. The staff arranged excellent guides for us for tours down the coast and to Capri. The pool was well kept with a beautiful view up the coast. We would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

“Views to die for!”

If you are looking for great views, convenient location and best service, this is the place you should stay in Ravello! The staff is very helpful and attentive, the rooms are large and very clean, the on-site restaurant has great, fresh food and best views in Ravello, the buffet breakfast is marvelous. The free internet access is a plus. We recomend this hotel and restaurant without hesitation!

“we would surely return”

very good value in a city that has very expensive hotels.visit the other hotels for lunch or drinks,but stay at the graal for value and warm family ownership that is always present. location is one block from main piazza and the ravello concerts in the ruffalo gardens.

“NOT a 4 star hotel”

Graal is NOT a 4 star hotel, it is at very best a basic 3 star with excellent views in a great location for exploring Ravello . Basics such as tissues are not even supplied in the room, let alone any warm furnishings or anything on the bare walls. The room was dark and our tiny terrace unswept before our arrival. Breakfast is very basic and it takes determination to get a coffee. Outdated and tired hotel in need of care, opening curtains, and a downgrade of its 4 star rating.

“would like to go when weather is better”

We stayed at the Hotel Graal virtually alone. It was off season and during our 5 day stay only 1 other room was occupied. The owners were very welcoming and showed us around. There are some very nice rooms. The view is good from the hotel. There is a new auditorium next door to the hotel which is amazing. the villas Ruffino and Cembrone near the hotel were fantastic.

“Great hotel in Ravello”

Very impressed; great views, great staff, good location - i would really reccommend staying here.

Area recommendations
Ravello or Amalfi are great bases to explore the Amalfi Coast.
Traveller's tip
There are plenty of things to see and do on the Amalfi Coast however I would recommend visiting: Herculanium Pompaii & vesuvius Capri Doing many of the well signposed coastal walks
