“Don't go there!!”

while the view was gorgeous, you can get the same view from any number of better hotels in the area. The Grand Tritone staff is rude and does not offer any help with luggage, problems, etc. The dining area is over run with ants as are all the open areas. The hotel is aware of this but does nothing. The rooms remind one of a one or two star motel, the bed being no more than a cot. You don't even want to unpack. The patio was nice but also overrun with bugs so you could not even sit outside for a drink or to share a snack with friends. Parking is horrible! Instead of staying in Positano, stay in Castelliglimare and take a boat ride to this area...or stay in the village of Positano itself.

“Glad we went but would not go again.”

Hotel comfortable although not what you would call 4 star back home. Rooms clean but basic. The situation of the hotel is stunning this is what you pay for. Breakfast ok typical continental. Other meals in hotel very expensive .So eat out for better value. Not all staff customer friendly.

“Amalfi Coast a true wonder of the world”

The location and the views are amazingly spectacular. The service is out of this world, I was not aware that Italians, especially from the South, can provide this level of service. My compliments to the staff and management. I will definitely return to this hotel without any questions.

Traveller's tip

If you are driving, give yourself plenty of time to reach this hotel. There is only one narrow road in, and is shared between autos, motos. and buses. The town of Positano is well equipped with many parking lots.

“Fabulous Hotel”

We stayed four nights in July 2009 and just loved this hotel. The views are incredible, the service impeccable and rooms were comfortable. They get an A+ for cleanliness. Breakfast was excellent. The private beach and pool are great but you have to climb across rocks to get to the beach. We read the hotel guide in the room with huge amusement. Its content is unintentionally very cute.

Traveller's tip

We drove from Naples to the hotel late on Friday afternooon. The traffic leaving Naples was horrendous and the drive along the coast was hair-raising. The "one hour trip" took nearly four hours due to traffic conditions. Try not to arrive on a Friday afternoon / evening.

“Like a second home and family”

"Can't wait to go back" everyone at the hotel could not do enough for you to make your visit a once in a life time, it was wonderful and great. The warmth and love from the owner to the gardner was so true and exceptional. It is truely a family owned and operated hotel. The food and service lacked nothing and I am still owed by all of it. Anyone traveling to the Almafi coast could not enjoy their visit any more than at the Grand Hotel Tritone. This is the finest hotel I ever had the pleasure to be pampered at. Can not want anything better! Go to the Grand Hotel Tritone Hotel and love your visit.

“Perfect Hotel in a Perfect Setting”

This is a very well organised, calm, relaxing and beautiful hotel. The view from the rooms is stunning. The rooms themselves are confortable and furnished to a very high standard. Staff are freindly and courteous. We shall certainly return.

“A éviter”

Profitez bien de la vue exceptionnelle : c'est le seul atout de cet hôtel, qui aurait pourtant tout pour être inoubliable. Des chambres très éloignées de la réception, via deux ascenseurs dont l'un ne fonctionnait pas. Un lit grinçant. Et surtout, pas d'eau chaude dans la chambre. Et pas d'efficacité du personnel à le régler (mieux vaut aimer les douches froides). Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est.

“Eblouissant”

Getting around

Arrivée à Naples puis 1 heures 30 de voiture pour arriver à l'hôtel.Les 20 dernières minutes se font via une route étroite de montagne avec falaise .C'est un peu difficile pour ceux qui ont le vertige mais le paysage est splendide.
