“Fantastic View”
This is a hotel with a beautiful view!
“Would definitely go back!”
This lovely chic boutique hotel was a delight. The staff always greeted you with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. From breakfast on the lovely terrace to dinner in the elegant gourmet restaurant, the food was excellent. Rooms are modern chic with gorgeous bathrooms. A good location, but wear your walking shoes as it's a bit of an uphill walk from the centre of town, but worth it!
“The perfect hotel in the perfect place!”
We had high expectations when visiting this hotel but these were exceeded the minute we parked out the front. The service is impeccable. Friendly but with old fashioned professionalism. Fulvia the general manager was especially lovely and helpful. The hotel has been refurbished with incredible attention to detail and quality - very rare in Italy. Our room had its own balcony with views that even after a week left us speechless. This really is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Great rooms, excellent breakfast. Lots of steps to and from the main town centre but worth it - and helps to work off all the food you will be enjoying. We have stayed in many fine hotels throughout the world but this is now our favourite. We will definitely be returning.
“Fabulous Hotel”
If you are looking for an unusual hotel to impress you, then best go to The Grand hotel Convento di Amalfi as it is fabulous. Extremely clean/contempary refurbished monastery with the ruins of the chapel. scent of Lemon grove trees, staff are very helpful and food fantastic. Lovely views on the terrace having breakfast and from the room. Would I stay here again? Absolutely I would!!
“Fabulous hotel in a beautiful location”
I celebrated a "significant" Birthday with my wife at this first class hotel in April and was lucky enough to get a room upgrade. The service from all of the staff was friendly and excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Their restauarnt recommendations were all good and the car service they use for transfers and excursions was very comfortable and reliable. The views from our room and the terrace bar were breathtaking, and Amalfi is a great base from which to enjoy the coast. The only negative to report is that the housekeeping service was a little below the 5 star standard: the floor in the room could have been kept cleaner and towels and toiletaries replenished more consistently. However, I would npt hesitate to recommend this hotel wholeheartedly, it is a special and unique place.
“Will be going back”
Fabulous hotel with stunning views from a breath taking terrace with the scent of bouganvilla and lemon trees. The hotel has been lovingly restored and now is a glamourous hot spot with beautiful tasteful decor. The inifinity pool overlooks the bay and users can stand in the pool and watch the world go by below. The pool is a decent size as lots of hotels in the area have v. small pools The hotel is a restful retreat from the bustle of Amalfi below. Amalfi is a 5-10 minute walk away. Staff are very friendly and the Manageress was excellent and made you feel very welcome. Two small observations - the chef should consider changing its evening menu more frequently and the addition of a wardrobe with some storage space would have been appreciated rather than a rail with a curtain. The latter is in keeping with the setting as the hotel is a converted Monastry but other than that this is a gorgeous hotel and we would not hesitate to return.
“Traumhotel in ehemaligem Kloster”

Area:
Amalfi, Italy: A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfis star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
