“Simply outstanding!”

My wife and I visited Positano in late July, 2011 and stayed at Covo Dei Saraceni based on reviews posted on this website. We were not disappointed. The hotel is located right on the beach and close to the main group of shops/restaurants and the ferries. The staff were extremely helpful and professional and the room very comfortably furnished. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to prospective travellers to Positano.

“#1 Hotel in Positano”

Covo Dei Saraceni is an incredible hotel. The facility is beautiful. The hotel is on the beach next to all the shopping, it has a beautiful swimming pool (which is hard to find in Positano hotels), the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. My daughter was sick one day of the trip and the staff was incredibly accommodating calling the house physician and having him appear in our room within an hour. I can't say enough about the staff, the facility and the service. Every aspect was amazing.

“Outstanding location and great service”

Rooms are very clean (standard room is a little small - especially the shower). AC works very well (unusual for Italy). Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel restaurant is one of the better restaurants in Positano and they give their guests a discount. The location is perfect - On our next trip to Positano wouldn't stay any place else.

“Tiny Room.”

We booked a "deluxe" room and was surprised at how small the room was. In all, the hotel's location and staff were excellent. But due to our late arrival, I felt like we might have been given the last room available. The room was so small, there was barely enough space to walk around the bed. Other than that, we really enjoyed our 3-night visit.

It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus). A domed church is Positano’s main landmark. The town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption on 15th August by re-enacting a famous victory against the Saracens.
