“Amalfi Easy”
Located about 10 minute drive (by private car, local bus or hotel shuttle) or 30 minutes walk from Amalfi, this hotel makes it easy to visit the entire Amalfi coast without the hustle, bussle and cramped mania of neighbouring towns and, unusual for the area, has (free) guest parking. While rooms are smallish, hotel facilities are good, staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts and dinners are great. Overall we rated it good value for money.
“Comfortable & relaxing stay.”
Can't fault the staff for their help and friendliness. Room serviced every day with clean linen and towels. Room a big dark as we were in the old part of the building, a converted paper-mill going back to the 15th century. Bar, snacks & restaurant pricy but then that's the norm for Italy. Fantastic location built over the sea.
“Not Impressed with Owner - could have been more welcoming...”
The hotel itself is beautiful, has free parking, and a delicious breakfast along with a lovely restaurant. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately on the 3rd day of our stay we were yelled at by a woman for moving a lounge chair by the pool. We later found out that she was the owner. While she and her daughter both worked at the hotel and passed by us on a daily basis, neither once said hello to us, asked us how our stay was, or thanked us for staying at their hotel. Our only communication with them was being yelled at for moving a chair to accommodate another guest. The other negative was the many stairs. Like many hotels in the area, it is built into the side of a cliff and there are many stairs to go up and down, in order to get to the pool and swimming area. This is fine for couples, but we had our 2 year old daughter with us, so it wasn't great for her.

A converted retreat between the Mediterranean and the Amalfi Coast Road, the Marmorata Best Western is beautifully appointed in a ship interior motif--portholes and binnacles, mahogany and brass--every room has a sea view. The service was friendly and attentive, dealing with bags and valet parking and shuttles to and from local restaurants, etc., without fuss or extra charges. The pool was not open in mid April and the excellent dining room was closed for two evenings of our stay. The volcanic eruption had caused many cancelations and only a few of the 40 rooms were occupied. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the Marmorata and recommend it heartily.
“Will use it as my hub whenever i visit the Amalfi Coast again”
The hotel is conveiently located right at the SS 163 (the highway connecting all the towns and villages on the coast). Thier daily shuttle to Amalfi town is also good for those wishing to take Boat rides to nearby islands. I really liked the hotel and its rooms' views. We went there for our honeymoon and it was perfect, although they may want to revamp thier breakfast offering a bit; it's quite limited
“Built into the Cliff Face of the Mediterranean”
Not actually in the beautiful town of Ravello, which is a 2.5 km uphill drive, or a 1+ hour magnificent, if tiring, walk up meandering paths, the hotel is built right into the cliff face. Every room enjoys a sea view. Compact but fairly well equipped, the rooms are quite comfortable. For lounging around there are lovely terraces, all overlooking the sea. Staff are friendly, helpful and speak English well.
