Our first visit to Copenhagen and we opted for this hotel because of its location and previous good reviews. Our room on the first floor and to the front was cosy and although on a busy main road, noise was minimal. The reception staff were pleasant and it was a nice gesture to offer us a glass of wine on our late night return on two of our three nights there.
The room and bathroom were well kept and the bed was very comfortable. Adequate space in the room and lovely Orla Kiely toiletries in the bathroom. The only slight quibble was that the t.v. channels are very limited, but then you are not in Copenhagen to watch television.
Would definitely recommend.
It is a nice hotel close to where we needed to go for our business trip, it had everything that was needed. The bedroom wasn't very big and if you wanted to use the iron it was up on the 4th floor, but it was very functional and comfortable for a short stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were very helpful. All in all, a great short stay.
The apartment room was very nice and comfortable. It completed with a kitchen. The location was excellent, walking distance to Trivoli, and many tourist attractions. Plenty of shopping and restaurants around the area. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was excellent quality. We enjoyed the fresh squeeze orange juice and many kinds of cheese.
Hotel is just over the road from the train station and Tivoli Gardens, so an ideal spot to base our holiday. Room was nice and overlooked the 'courtyard' (could see the library bar, well worth a visit, below) but, like other reviewers have noted, the room was a bit worn and in need of new wallpaper or paint in some places. The TV picked up only a few of the channels it should have. We had an issue with the safe on one day, which was dealt with within five minutes of us reporting it, but then the issue came back, so we ended up not using the safe after all. The central staircase is great, with the central lift, encased in glass, running down the middle of it. We paid for one breakfast and it was worth the money, a buffet with lots of options.
We were very pleased with the Radisson Blu. We had never stayed at a Radisson Blu and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was immaculate, the room very well thought out as far as comfort and design. Everyone there was very helpful, courteous and accommodating. Our room was even available to us a few hours before checkin, which was a big help since we had disembarked our ship at 9 in the morning, we were able to settle in and get on with the day.
Overall the experience was exceptional and will definitely book there again, as well as recommend it to others.
