“Not Bad”

The staff were nice enough especially at the front desk. The room was smaller than I expected but I believe it to be the normal size for the U.K. Food wise there was not much around except a few take out places and no real restaurants so we ended up having to eat at the hotel. The price may be comparable to other hotel dining but expensive none the less for what you get. Everything was clean and up to date from what we saw. Did not use their shuttle service so I can't speak on that. Room service hours based on schedule on material in the room seemed a bit off and 24 hours would have been nice but over all, a good value for what you get.

“Good central position between Manchester and Liverpool”

Very good and curtious staff, always wanting to go the extra your to help. Only thing and it is only a personal preference the beds where very hard, I am used to a softer mattress, and the room itself would now due for a refreshing paint. Although it is not peeling off the wall it just looks slightly shabby. But all in all good facility and I will be back

Liverpool - Docklands area & Beatles Home Town Manchester - Canal trip, manchester united ground tour Altrincham - local pubs, great people make you welcome and very nice meals

Getting around

Ideally to get around would be best if you had a car, which I did. Not the congestion like in London itself

“Not Impressed”

Booked a superiour room if this was then I dont knoe what a standard room was like. Room not clean and in need of modernising most lights had only one bulb fitted I guess to save money. Room not clean and bed very hard. Will not be returning or recommending this hotel as not value for money.........

“Disapointed Guest”

I booked the hotel as it was reasonably priced on the and having previously stayed in a Best Western in Cascais in Portugal (which we were delighted with) I thought we couldnt go wrong. I'm afraid we did. The Hotel although spotlessly clean was very jaded to say the least. The room was the smallest bedroom I have ever slept in being approx. 15' X 13' including the bathroom. if one of us wanted to get dressed the other had to lie on the bed because two people could not manouver round the room at the same time. It was impossible to sit in the chair provided as there was no room to stretch your legs. Obviously the room we were in had been origionally a single and was now a double due to the high demand for Travellers using the Hotel on an Airport Parking basis, because of this ordinary guests like ourselves had to pay £2 per day to park our car even though we were out in it for most of the day. The breakfast ingredients were cheap tinned mushrooms, bacon OK, eggs OK but the sausage had bits of bone in it and I broke a piece off one of my crowns on it. All in all the Hotel did not meet the standards we had come to expect from our previous bookings with Expedia but then again you only get what you pay for.

“Good Budget Hotel”

Perfect for the night or two. Soft bed - and small - but hey, cheap and cheerful. Safe and close to Manchester. parking now costs £2.00 per 12 hour period.

“A nice hotel”

I chosen Best Western hotel as the best in the area. It is a nice hotel but extremely busy. Seminars, castings, tutorials and a wedding were taking place at the time of my visit. The staff looked tired, stressed and didn't seem very capable to cope with amount of guests. The room was cosy and clean. My partner complain that the mattress was not very comfortable but at the side that I slept seemed fine. I was well please that there were extra pillows and I felt very comfortable. I was not please that our room was next to a meeting room, when we arrived there was a meeting still going and it was quite noisy. After the meeting there was a lot of noise for furniture being moved around. Also there were problem at the breakfast room. Apparently the majority of the guests arrived at the same time and even so there was enough food for everyone there was enough seats and it seems that only 2 staff were interested to help the guests! Overall a good value for money.

“Not up to Best Western Standard in N. America”

Breakfast was good. Dinner not good and poor service No coffee machine in bedroom (instant coffee provided) No ice machines You have to pay pounds to access the internet using the hotel terminals. Parking is diabolical.
