After landing at Venice Airport, our group of four drove to this hotel and stayed the first night of the trip in Italy in late June, 2023. The reason we selected this hotel because it is very close to Lake Karersee (Lago Di Carezza), 3 minutes driving or 15 minute walking. The hotel is family operated with the son as hotel manager who speaks English and is very friendly. After checking in, we had a pre-ordered authentic Italian dinner cooked by mother and we really enjoyed the food. The room is clean and spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is free included in room. Overall we had a very pleasant experience here, very nice food and room and extremely friendly host. If you like to see sunrise and sunset of Lake Karersee, we highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location situated at both the bus stop and the start of multiple trailheads. Beautiful scenery with a waterfall nearby. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful on giving advice for hiking in the area, and provided many useful tips.

An unforgettable vacation
The owner is welcoming, helpful in everything and anything, I personally was helped by a rescue with the rental car that got stuck in the parking lot while we were in a hurry to arrive on time for the flight back to Israel. I will definitely come back again.

Good place to stay for visit to Lake Carezza
Lovely and cosy hotel. The beautiful Lake Carezza is just a few minutes’ drive. Pity we don’t have time to do the easy hike from hotel to lake. The dinner was excellent and the dessert was a pleasant surprise.

Hike to the Lake
Best location if you would like to hike to Lago di Carreza before sunset. There is a walking path to the lake located right across the street from the hotel and you can beat the masses to the lake at it's prettiest time. Breakfast will be ready for you at the hotel when you're done with your hike. Rooms are ample and clean and the staff is very friendly.

Beautiful localtion -very friendly staff.
Very fine hotel with exceptionel friendly and serviceminded staff in a countryside mountain area half an hour outside Bolzano. Delicious breakfast.

Extremely helpful hotel manager
This hotel is about an hour drive from more well known spots in the Dolomites, like Castelrotto or Oritsei, but beautiful Lake Carrezza is right there. Our hotel manager was extremely knowledgeable and helpful; his tips made our explorations so much more efficient! He also suggested that we visit Merano's botanical garden on our way back - highly recommended!

Nice family hotel, extremely friendly!
We stayed in Adler hotel for two nights in September 2013. The hotel is very nice and clean. Wonderful breakfast with selection of wild berries. Super friendly owners taking care of the guests in a very personal manner. They gave us a bunch of useful information about the Dolomiti area.

my friends and myself were on a bike tour and stayed there for 1 night. very friendly staff! they helped us a lot with infos about the area and we even got a meal after closing hours of the kitchen because of our late arrival- in short: perfect one night stay, couln'd be any better

Nice old hotel
This was our stopover from our trip to Italy from Germany. It is an old facility that is family owned and managed. The owners are very friendly and the hotel was clean and had a modern sauna that we really enjoyed. The rooms are old but adds character to the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Four Star Hotel
Usually when we are looking at stars in hotels they mean luxuries. For us, Hotel Adler is filled with many luxuries. It’s a family run hotel (since the turn of the century) in northern Italy (near to Austria), whether you stay for a day or longer its secluded and the staff will help to get the most out of your stay. After our stay there we had reservations to Cortina d’Ampezzo , had I known how good it was staying at hotel Adler I would’ve just made it our base and driven to Cortina or continue to enjoy all the Dolomites have to offer. It is a very extensive area between Bolzano and the whole mountain range that you could miss without a proper guidance. As for skiing, there is plenty and the county has ski busses that stop right at the hotel’s front. I say if you are a traveler on a budget in search for an Austrian cottage hotel in Italy’s northern scenery look no further.

Our first impression from the roadside was not that good as the hotel is located inside a sharp bend in the road. However, once inside, we become much more relaxed. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Dinner was a delight and our request for one non -meat meal was responded to with great thought. We had a room with balcony looking down the valley and although you can't help but notice the road noise, it wasn't a big issue at all. A great overnight stop and we'd use it again if passing.

summer hiking in the Dolomites
Perfect location with the bus stop right at the door. 15 minute bus ride up the mountain and multiple beautiful hiking trails. Nice hike back to the hotel door. Alternatively, take the bus to and from the village of Bolzano at the bottom of the hill. Very knowledgable and helpful inn keeper with maps, experience and multiple languages, water, packed lunch. Everything you need to get you on your way. Dinner was a highlight, delicious, unexpected choices, gourmet quality at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Quiet and Relaxing
My extended family and I spent two nights in late April at the Hotel Adler. I initially chose the hotel because of it's proximity to Bolzano, the good reviews the hotel received on Trip Advisor and the decent price for rooms in what's one of the most expensive areas in Italy. I must say that we weren't disappointed. The hotel, dating from 1893, is impeccably clean and looks like it's been constantly updated throughout the the years. Even though it's situated right along a main road, we were never bothered by passing traffic. I would also like to point out the service at the hotel. Since this is a family owned operation, there was always someone there in case we needed to ask questions or seek advice. In this vein, I would like to especially commend Werner, the owner's son, for his good tips on dining and things to see. The included breakfast was typical European repast and more than enough to get us started. While we were there it seemed that the few other people that stayed at the hotel were just passing through. However, we will certainly entertain staying at the Hotel Adler next time we go to Bolzano.

The hotel is in a nice enough location but we were not happy with the room we were allocated initially and they were happy enough to change the room for us which was great. The biggest issue we had was the horrible shower head, it doesn't wash much off. It was the worst shower I have ever used. They have a beautiful sauna and shower downstairs and we tried to shower downstairs at night but we were kicked out as it is only open from 4pm-7pm!! The bath towels are nice if you want to exfoliate your skin but is not good for drying. It should only be reserved to dry your pets. We had dinner one night but it was not that great. Room and view was nice and beds were comfortable.

Great rooom for the money in a beautiful setting
This hotel was wonderful! Having been completely rebuilt in 1984,it seemed in perfect condition. The family that runs it were top notch and the food was glorious! Try to get the suppers included in your room and you won't be disappointed. We got a 4 course meal every night and it was served in an elegant dining room one course at a time. It's a good jumping off spot to explore the Dolomites. We loved it here and would go back in a heartbeat. There's a sauna too! This place gets 5 stars from us.

I'll never stay anywhere else!
I was expecting a lot after looking at the photos for Hotel Adler online. It looked like the perfect, quiet get away that I needed from my busy life in Tuscany. I am happy to report that I was totally blown away! The hotel consistently exceeded all expectations. The father/son team that ran the front desk, bar and restaurant provide impecible customer service and are always friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful, just a 20 minute hike from the beautiful Lago di Carezza and with a bus stop just outside of the front door. The bus system is easy to navigate as it goes up and down the mountain. We parked our car the first day and did not move it again until we were ready to check out. In fact, I wish I had taken the train from Pisa to Bolzano and then the bus to the hotel and saved the drive all together. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, but the not-to-be-missed feature of the hotel is the brand new sauna in the basement of the hotel. Perfect way to warm up and relax after a chilly day exploring the Dolomites. Breakfast was delicious and dinner was even better. I suggest opting in for the half board option as the 4-course dinner provided by the hotel was really great and there isn't much else close by. What's better than being able to eat and drink and then just head upstairs to your room? If you don't go with the half board option, do yourself a favor and have dinner in the hotel at least one night. At only 20-euro per person for the 4 course meal, it's quite a bargain!

Nice little hotel with a personal touch
This small hotel is run by a father and son. They were very helpful and friendly and provided us lots of suggestions of some of the lesser known attractions around the area. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety and quality. It's a good small hotel if you are on a budget

Torneremo!!
Hotel a conduzione familiare, molto accogliente, i gestori sono di una gentilezza disarmante, pronti a rispondere a ogni richiesta e grandi conoscitori del posto. La zona è ideale, vicino al lago di carezza e a molti sentieri ai piedi delle dolomiti e a 10 minuti dalle piste da sci. Se si desidera si può cenare in hotel, le pietanze buonissime e abbondanti sono preparate con cura e l'impressione è quella di essere a casa propria serviti e riveriti. L'hotel dispone anche di zona benessere, un toccasana dopo le giornate al freddo. Torneremo sicuramente quest'estate :)

Très bon accueil et explications en français. La chambre était propre et la literie confortable mais aurait besoin d’être remis au goût actuel. La salle de bain est minuscule et devrait être rénové, la tuyauterie fonctionne mal. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et de bonne qualité. Le côté négatif est la route qui passe devant l’hôtel et qui est très bruyante même avec des boules quies. Le prix est cher par rapport à l’emplacement même si vous êtes à 1,7 km du lac de Carezza

Regarding the noise, we would like to differentiate, it is not the road you have probably enjoyed reaching the hotel and riding throughout the Dolomites. It was noise produced by those using the road, including yourself, but especially those emitting too much aggressive noise. We are committed to participate with national environmental associations, and promote to fight traffic noise, especially that produced individually. Unfortunately the problem is not limited to the Dolomites but is felt the same in France, where Bruitparif.fr has developed a monitoring system, although it cannot yet use it officially, as EU-law prevents national states fighting against individual noise pollution. We kindly ask you to participate in the silent movement also in your country and fight against environmental noise pollution. You will understand, that part of your rate paid is invested by us in taking measures with national environmental associations, another part covers the commission as granted in the rate parity clause deregulation, also enacted in your country.

Seit 190 Jahren verwöhnen wir immer wieder gern unsere Gäste, einst reisten sie zu Fuß, später mit der Kutsche, jetzt mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder mit dem eigenen Fahrzeug und erreichen das Hotel bequem ohne Umwege auf der klassischen großen Dolomiten - Panoramastraße. Schade, dass Sie nicht mehr Zeit hier verbringen konnten. Wir wünschen Ihnen weitere schöne 5 Wochen Urlaub am Mittelmeer.

Una buona sistemazione
Questo è un piccolo hotel di montagna posto su un curvone della strada tra Nova Levante e il lago di Carezza. Una delle caratteristiche è proprio la posizione: da qui partono già diversi sentieri per esplorare la zona ed in pochi minuti a piedi si può raggiungere il lago di Carezza direttamente dall'hotel. La nostra camera era ben insonorizzata e toglieva parte del rumore della strada su cui si affaccia l'hotel. L'accoglienza e il trattamento della famiglia che lo gestisce sono stati molto buoni, così come ci è piaciuto lo stato di conservazione delle parti comuni piacevolmente arredate in stile tradizionale. La camera era confortevole anche se andrebbe rimodernata (in particolare il bagno). Colazione non troppo ricca, andrebbe forse aumentata la scelta dei prodotti. In linea generale il nostro soggiorno è stato positivo (3,5). Il prezzo per noi è un po' alto per la proposta, sebbene allineato a quello delle strutture nella zona e per il periodo.

Struttura famigliare servizio curato , titolari cortesi e disponibili . Ottima sia la colazione che la cucina . La camera dove abbiamo soggiornato meriterebbe una ristrutturazione soprattutto il bagno . Ottima la pulizia.

Ottimo ambiente, molto calorosa l'accoglienza e disponibilità del proprietario. La rumorosità della strada è quasi assente durante la notte.

A recommendation
Definitely a recommendation this hotel. We stayed for 5 nights to enjoy a lovely winter sport holiday. The family who owns the hotel are the most friendly and hospitable people I ever met.

ein wenig enttäuscht...
waren wir vom unserem Zimmer . Es ist ein "3-Bett" Zimmer, welches mit dem Fenster direkt auf die Kehre der Straße hoch zum Karer-See blickt. Die Aussicht war aber nicht das Problem, sondern der morgentliche Verkehr, der dich aus dem Schlaf weckt. Verstärkt wird der Lärm noch zusätzlich durch das gegenüberliegende Haus. Gottseidank konnten wir nach 2 Nächten unser 3-Bett in zwei 2-Bett Zimmer tauschen (leider musstem wir für eine von 2 Nächten den Doppelzimmerpreis zusätzlich zahlen). Da ich jetzt auch andere Zimmer im Hotel gesehen habe, muss ich sagen, dass das 3-Bett Zimmer eher der Kategorie 2-Sterne angehört. Nicht unerwähnt lassen möchte ich das Frühstück, das mir und meinen Mitreisenden sowohl in Auswahl, als auch in Quallität gut gefallen hat.

Se cercate un hotel vicino ad un paese di montagna dove poter anche fare shopping ecc. questo albergo non è per Voi. Ideale per escursioni

Gentile viaggiatore anonomo, ringraziamo della recensione. L'hotel ADLER Carezza è un hotel di montagna, che offre ben 6 sentieri che partono dalla struttura. Inoltre vi è la fermata dell'autobus. Hotel ideale per escursioni sia a piedi che in macchina. Per chi vuole fare lo shopping vi sono molte altre strutture. Inviamo i più cordiali saluti sperando di potervi presto avere di nuovo qui all'ADLER pronti ad affrontare altre escursioni sulle oltre 700km di sentieri. Fam. Putzer
