The hotel is about 40 years old. The last time it was painted, wallpapered, carpeted, etc... was 40 years ago. I am sure it was a very nice hotel when new but after 40 years you need to remodel. The room was mildly dirty, the shower drain was so slow you had to turn the water on and off so as not to flood the room. When we arrived late at night the room was warm. The AC turns off automatically at about midnight and does not come on until 5 PM so every room only gets AC for 7 hours each afternoon, not exactly the Ritz Carlton. Our room flooded out from a water leak in the room above us while we were out. Likely from the partially plugged showers. When we returned to the hotel we found out they moved all our stuff to a different room and they told us about the water leak. All of my wife's clothes were still in her suitcase where she left them but they were all soaking wet. Unfortunately we were leaving in the AM for a flight to continue our vacation and all she had to wear in the morning were wet smelly clothes. Not much you can do about it when you return to your room at 1 AM. The location was beautiful and on top of a hill with ocean views in the original room but not in the room they moved us to. All common areas were not air conditioned either. Sink was dirty and shower head broke off. TV did not work in either room. This place needs millions in remodeling inside and out. Room carpet was green and worn so thin it looked like green felt from a poker table.
