Bathroom tiles had dirty grout on the floor and black marks on the walls. The ceiling above the bath was stains. Window in bedroom was dirty and lower pane was cracked. It let the wind in. Public areas were OK

The accommodation was perfectly adequate for our 1 night stay. The bathroom definitely needed a refresh. Rusty plugholes etc. the windows also need replacing and the mattress wasn’t great quality. All that said we enjoyed our stay in a spacious room.

Great location, convenient for shopping. Great room and fantastic dining room. Only drawback was a poor breakfast. Not buffet, lack of choice and worse on the second day when there was no chef.

Most dissapointing of all pur hotel stays in UK needs deep cleanse our room was through hotel and out back over gravel path- horrible access for luggage!! Room was hot and atuffy with only a small fan provided. Also no on site parking available when we checked in and were told to use public lot behind hotel Dining room is lovely though!!

A brief stay at the White Swan to attend a wedding at the Alnwick Garden. We were given an early check in due to the wedding timings, the receptionist was really pleasant, helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable but, as it was on the front of the hotel, there was a little traffic noise in the morning. All in all a very pleasant stay.

I did not have a great nights sleep the bed was very uncomfortable and awoke with back pain however everything else was great the staff here go above and beyond to help

Lovely hotel
A lovely hotel, staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location and a good size car park, with a free carpark outside aswell (carpark C). The restaurant is amazing coming from the sister ship to The Titanic. Breakfast was nice, the food could of been topped up quicker as no eggs but that isnt a complaint. We will stay again. Thanks

White Swan short break
The hotel is very well located for access to a plethera of good interesting places to see. The staff were very polite and provided us with lots of information about the area. The hotel was clean and well presented with historical features, not your modern clinical design. The bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and overhead shower. The food ad service was good.

We really enjoyed our six nights at the White Swan. It is not posh but is incredibly friendly, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and really flexible. We didn't have an evening meal but the breakfasts were fine and other residents told us that the evening meal was excellent. (The dining room is based around the panelling from the sister ship of the Titanic and is extraordinary). Alnwick is a lovely town with loads to do and see and the hotel is within the castle walls. Its also a great centre for visiting places in beautiful Northumberland.

The hotel is very tired and the breakfast wasnt good at all - but for the price it was ok - the bathroom was very poor, not unclean though, just really dated and needs upgraded

upgrade.
hotel is in an ideal position in the centre of ALNWICK .with free parking would could be wrong. Its needing a wee bit money spent on it. An upgrade could move this hotel to a different level ,think about it. The town deserves better.

Good position in Alnwick with parking, easy access on foot to all local facilities. Room spacious but bathroom in need of refurbishment, basin plug broken, shelf fitting loose & wobbly. Step down into bathroom a problem/trip hazard despite warning on door.

Lovely place with warm relaxing feel, staff very friendly, central for castle, gardens, bus station etc very comfortable beds, breakfast very tasty in stunning diining room, bistro comfortable and relaxing, nice little seating area outside. Definitely stay here again

We were given a large family room which had been modernised and was bright and airey. We have stayed at the hotel many times and some of the rooms, especially in the annex, are quite dark and dated so our room this time was a nice surprise. Disappointed we couldn’t get a drink at the bar which closed at 10 pm due to staffing issues. It seemed odd that there was nobody able to serve us 2 drinks as residents! Overall however the room was lovely and our stay was good.

We had wanted to stay at the property due it's links with the Titanic. The rooms are cosy and adequate. The staff were friendly and professional. The 3 course meal was a bit of a let down and the Olympic room was freezing! We would go back but would probably upgrade our room type.

Needs updating
Standard rooms need updating. Felt every spring in the mattress. Noisy and uncomfortable. Pillows had no filling in them. Light comes in from corridor as so much gap around the door.
