We used this hotel the night before an early flight and our experience began with a modern complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel which was easy to find on arrival by bus from San Sebastian. The reception staff were friendly with excellent English and the rooms comfortable. The bar was nice for a drink at good prices and the kids enjoyed the novelty of choosing a microwave meal from the vending machine. The restaurant doesn't open until 8pm which is a little late for us and bar snacks or room service would be handy for families.
The hotel is a basic facility that seems to have been a large facility before. The facilities are underwhelming, however; if you arrive late, want a close hotel to the airport and are leaving early the next morning, the price is right. 12euro taxi each way, has a shuttle for the right times. The rooms are basic along with the restaurant. A 15min walk away you can find a few reasonable local restaurants, we found an okay place for good price and good service

I stayed at this hotel last week . Must say that this is a very nice little cozy hotel with very friendly staff. I had trouble with the rental car and the staff helped me resolve the issue. They also have a good cafeteria . Located next to a old church amongst the superb hilly and green terrain of Loiu. Very nice place near the airport.

"Good hotel, inconvenient location for sight-seeing"
After doing 5 days on the El Camino, I decided spend a day sight-seeing in Bilbao before flying home. I chose this hotel because it said it had a spa and it is close to the airport.
Overall I found the room to be clean and mostly comfortable, except perhaps for the roof of the loft room (room no 211) which meant I sometimes bumped my head against it. The bath in the room also had some water jets from the side which I enjoyed, but it does not include a proper shower so you don't have any other choice than to bath.
The food (dinner) in the restaurant was really good and I enjoyed the "pika" (beer and lemon mix). I did seem to have paid much more than was stated on the menu, around €31 in stead of the stated €21.60. Dinner here starts late, it seems sometime between 20:30 and 21:30 depending on the day of the week.
The breakfast buffet was ok but I didn't see any eggs. I don't think it's worth the €9.60 you'd have to pay if it isn't included in your room rate.
The worst part of this hotel is if you're using public transport and is here for sight-seeing, which is the main reason I won't recommend this hotel to anyone. I tried the buses from the centre of Bilbao and ended walking a long way. On Saturday I waited for buses for 1.5 hours and nothing came - I ended up walking to the train station (Lekunbiz) where the train to Casa Viejo came quite quickly (€1.50 single).
The rip-off taxi ride to the airport was the last straw, €16 for a 6 minute ride!

Flew into Bilbao late in the evening and spent one night here. Amazing value, room basic but spotlessly clean and everything you could need. Breakfast was a bargain at 7 Euros, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. 10 out of 10.

We arrived in Bilbao minutes before our reserved entry to the Guggenheim museum, but it was no problem, since this superb hotel is within walking distance of the museum. Our room was beautiful and staff were very accommodating. For this quality the price was excellent.
What great value! Location is perfect, an easy walk to everything. Room was spacious, well designed, clean, great wifi, amazing bed. Luxurious by our standards! The staff were helpful and friendly, made great dinner recommendations and helped book concert tickets for us. The lobby and restaurant are lovely, breakfast buffet was great value. Parking in basement was convenient but at €25 it might be easy to find a better deal for that. Would highly recommend this hotel.
