“couple stars too many”

I was told that Sidi San Juan is definitely the best hotel in the area, and the only 5-star one. Well, this may well be true but it does not make the hotel good. It is quite run down and in urgent need of a full-scale renovation. My sense is that this pending closing of the property weighs on its staff moral as they do not much care at best... The access to the beach and the beach itself are very good - the highlight of my stay there. The hotel is located about 20-min walk from the more central area of town where most restaurants and nightlife is concentrated. I quite enjoyed walking back anf forth along the sea shore but some people may find this inconvenient.

“fabulous seaviews but dated decor”

Sidi Hotel has a priviledged location as a beach resort with direct access to the beach. The seaview from the pool is great and we loved the seaview from our little room terrace (all rooms have seaview). Breakfast was a delicious buffett in a lovely terrace and staff were friendly. The gym albeit small was perfectly funtional .It was nice to also have the option of an indoor pool as the outdoor one was quite small. The main disappointment was the room decor which was dated and tired. Probably when the hotel first open its doors the rooms had a classic and sumptuous air however after years of wear and tear really needs updating. Rooms definately not five stars hotel, possibly four. For a young childless couple we would have preferred something a bit more fresh and contemporaneous looking. In addition to the price paid, we were surprised by all of the extras that were not included (which we expected a five stars hotel to include in the price) like towel service, car park, use of the safe. All in all, I enjoyed a few days of relaxation, it was a quiet athmosphere (mainly over 50's) and a few families with young children and loved the view. If you can bear the dated decor for a great view, great beach and quiet athmospehre then this hotel is the one.

“Not a 5 star hotel.”

The room was quite basic more 3 star+ or 4 star. Hotel facilities were good. Good pool, good restaurant, Nice bar. The hotel is in a very quiet area. Very convenient to the beach.

I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE AND THE HOTEL SOUNDED REALLY NICE FROM WHAT I COULD SEE.DONT GET ME WRONG THE POSITION IS 5 STAR AND THE GROUNDS ARE LOVELY.NOT A GREAT DEAL TO DO IN THE AREA .BEACHES GREAT.ENTERTAINMENT NON EXISTANT NOT EVEN THE PIANO PLAYING.FRIENDLIEST MEMBER OF STAFF, MANAGER AT THE POOL BAR.MADE YOU WELCOME.

Die unvergleichliche Lage direkt am Strand ist unbezahlbar. Die Zimmer waren sehr angenehm, der Balkon abends die Wucht, morgens allerdings sehr heiß, da direkte Sonneneinstrahlung. Zimmerservice exzellent und sehr schnell. Der Service an der Rezeption zu jeder Tages- und Nachzeit sehr freundlich, kompetent und schnell! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

* jedes Zimmer verfügt über einen Balkon mit Meeresblick (der Ausblick und die Lage sind wunderschön), Zimmer sind geräumig, ruhig und sauber; das Bad ist eher klein, der Duschvorhang und die Trenntüre zwischen Bad und WC lässt es zudem billig aussehen ... das ist wahrscheinlich auch der Grund, warum es nicht in der Galerie zu finden ist * wunderschöne, ruhige Lage, aber dennoch direkt an der Strandpromenade, wo sich unzählige Bars und Restaurants befinden * akzeptables Fitnesscenter mit Geräten für Bizeps, Brust, Schulter und Beinpresse, Ergometer und Laufband; Hallenbad und Freibad sorgen für eine angenehme Abkühlung * das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, besonders an der Rezeption * die Getränke sind überteuert, speziell Trinkwasser

“sehr schönes Hotel”

Das Hotel liegt super! Direkt an einem sehr schönen Sandstrand. Die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern ist nicht so, wie ich es von einem Hotelzimmer in dieser Kategorie erwartet habe. Das Personal war durchgehend äusserst nett und sehr herzlich! Das Frühstück war ok, ich hatte mir aufgrund der vorangegangenen Bewertungen mehr erwartet. Es ist "halt" ein "normales" Frühstück. Ich bin vom Flughafen aus mit dem Bus in die Stadt gefahren und von dort mit der Strassenbahn Nr. 4 bis zur Endstation. Dann musste ich noch ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss gehen. Sehr ok - für ca. 4 Euro. Zurück zum Flughafen bin ich mit dem Taxi gefahren, 35 Euro (allerdings war es nicht die Hauptverkehrszeit und wir kamen sehr gut durch...). Rings um das Hotel ist "nichts" oder ich habe einfach "nichts" gefunden.
