Experia must take very serious steps to take charge of the proper reception and hospitality of its customers or members by many hotels they work with , in particular in Europe and in Spain . Confirmation of hotel bookings made via Expedia are often disputed when they are not simply ignored and denied. Information and details of the bookings especially in Spain are not properly checked and passed to hotels, I understand , and always lead to major disputes on the bookings made, so therefore on the hotels prices , and added charges not disclosed or agreed upon on when making the booking and paying for it at the source. I had again a horrible experience in Spain this time again when I booked a room in Benidorm via Expedia, recently. My request were very specific: I booked a room for 2 Adults and one 17 years old + boy. I paid for it and a confirmation of the booking was emailed to me, and to the hotel concerned , I understand. The Hotel, a 4 star hotel (Hotel Servi Group Diplomatic) had not apparently received any of those details or confirmation. When we arrived at the hotel on the 01st June 2014, we were told, they were no booking for 3 people or 3 beds, and in any case the hotel does not have any triple room or large rooms to host 3 single beds at once....the worst part is it was a Sunday and most the Managerial Staff were off.
