“Good comfortable hotel, very reasonable rates extreme value for money.”
If in Benidorm again I would be more than happy to stay at the Royal again, while recomending it to others. The staff were friendly and efficent at all times.
“Excellent Hotel”
I booked this hotel based upon it being a very reasonable price with Expedia and also its ranking on other sites. I was not dissappointed with any aspect of our stay at the Royal. The only thing that I personally didnt think was 4* was the lack of a simple smile from hotel bar staff. On arriving at the hotel I was checked in efficiently by a very pleasant lady at the reception desk and given my room key. As requested I was given a higher level floor. The room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony over-looking the pool. I booked on a bed and breakfast basis (although half-board was only about £20 more over 5 days). Breakfast had a good variety of English and continental choices. I was on holiday with two other couples who both stayed at different 4* hotels and I am very pleased with our choice and would definately stay at the Royal if we visited Benidorm again. Perfect for couples and has facilities for less able bodied persons, but its not a hotel were I would take my children for a family holiday. Thank you Hotel Royal
“Dumpy Rooms”
My room looked like a hold-over from the 1970s; brown paisley carpet and drapes; cheap fiberboard furniture; cramped, dark and dreary. The elevators are the size of phone booths. The lobby area was nice; the room bad. The service was average. Probably a three-star hotel overall, but the room was worse than a Motel 6.
“Hotel Royal Benidorm”
Location- great area only a few minutes walk from the shops and bars of the old town. Large supermercado round the corner. Service - front desk staff were always very helpful in operating safe, explaining directions to other parts of Benidorm etc. Restaurant staff were very efficient and helped in choice of foo etc, even the chief asked myself and my friend did we have enough to eat and would we like another choice. Food - good quality and plentiful. The bread at breakfast was always fresh. The quality and tenderness of the meat dishes was very good Benidorm itself was wall to wall fun. Hope I have got enough energy to attend Fiesta next year!!
“good hotel pity about”
The royal hotel nice quiet hotel rooms spacious enough for a weeks stay and a 5 minute walk from the old town and the beach. The only problems were that the air conditioning was woefully under powered and the room was baking hot permanently. The other small niggle was the grumpy old guy on reception we were scared to ask him for anything
“Don't take a room on the first floor!! - Wheelchair user.”
A very clean and smart hotel close to the centre of Benidorm. Contemporary in design and newly refurbished. Stayed in February 2009 - mainly Spanish guests and more geared up to the Spanish market than for UK guests. Good simple breakfast with friendly service. Parking was in an underground car park - very tight turns to first level - unbelievebly tight to the second level - charged ten euros per day for parking. Don't take a bedroom on the first floor - the bar and dining room are below you and the combination of wooden furniture and grey slate floors means that everytime a guest or staff (which is frequent) moves a chair an realy loud 'scrawping' noise occurs - drove us nuts!! All night!! Asa wheelchair user access is very good - but very narrow bathroom doors in the standard rooms.

Area:
Benidorm, Spain: Young fun-seekers and families looking for a beach holiday with plenty of evening entertainment have made Benidorm one of Spains most popular resorts. Densely-developed, its superb long golden beaches are screened by a forest of skyscraping hotels. However an Old Town still survives and is the place to go for authentic Spanish food. Benidorm is top destination for family attractions with two theme parks, a huge water park and a marine life park.
