Hotel Alicante Golf was a marvelous oasis in a busy touristy area. The staff was so friendly, efficient, accomodating, spoke English, and very helpful. The hotel was very classy, modern, comfortable in every way, the room wonderful, comfy clean bed, immense lux towels, great shower, and a restaurant woth flexible hours, delicious food & service, and an outdoor terrace with a lovely view. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

Once was enough
This is a big hotel but there seemed to be few guests. Nobody smiled. It was either just opening again having been closed or was about to close. No food available in the big bar but the pool bar served food till late. Breakfast was poor and uncomfortable. Would not stay again

A reasonable location for this established hotel. This review reflects the value I feel was offered. Comfortable, quiet, friendly and with a lovely pool to enjoy, I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel rooms did not look the same as in the advertised pictures. Room stayed in wasn’t very clean and below standards for the hotel rating. Had no air-conditioning for 4 days and was only their for 5! Upgraded to another room after first night because one first given was shabby and dated. Was surprised to see that the upgraded room was very similar to first. Would not stay in this hotel again. The golf course itself was lovely and the views from the balcony room to the golf course were wonderful.

Great location, great balcony with room, decor in rooms a bit tired but fine, only downside was the ac is centrally controlled so you can’t turn it up or down to suit you. Delicious coffee in the bar!

Clean room, attentive staff. Decor needs a bit of work, particularly in the bar/restaurant area - chairs are old and it shows. Location is ok but it is far from centre of town. Enjoyable stay and I’ll stay there again when I’m in town.

Great Location, average hotel
The hotel was on beautiful grounds and local enough to different restaurants, beach and the tram station. The room was very basic, shocked to find no complimentary shampoo but has shower gel. We chose their breakfast on the first morning which we paid additional for, to find the breakfast was appalling. We had cold eggs, beans and bacon. Bread was ok. This put us off having dinner there, but that was not a problem as there were many restaurants close by which you could go to. Overall location and their customer services was perfect, shame about the food.

I stayed here 4 years ago and I liked it that’s why I stayed here again. Found the rooms needing an uplift took 3 days to have someone fix the security lock. Never did get the air condition if fixed. We’re not customer service friendly It’s too bad as it’s a nice property and close to everything

Good value stay
Really good value for money. Only criticism would be that they closed the pool bar for a private function all day so had a long walk up to reception to get a drink or use toilet Room was immaculate and lovely views Is situated within a residential area but tram to Alicante is ideal.

Furniture needs tlc, some furniture threadbare. Electricity in 1st bedroom was dangerous and faulty. Wiring joined to bedside light [ room 214] with insulating tape where the on/off switch should have been located. Bar staff inexperienced. Service very very slow. A charge of €12 to indoor pool. The poolside bar had a charge of €25 per head for lunch on arrival because there was a private birthday party on.

Nothing to say negative about the hotel,I enjoyed my stay there dry friendly staff very clean. The room was large and clean but the tv was too small and the fact that there was no shower it made it difficult for me to climb in and out of the bathtub but I have no hesitation to stay there again

The property is very impressive, well located, closed from beautiful friendly beaches. Walking distance from restaurants and bars. The pool was very pleasant but there was a lack to attention to detail, like the poor flowers around the pool were very dried and they were not watered during my stay (which was over 5 days). The lift was making noise when was in used, which was scarry, I did used the stairs a lot. But... the property is beautiful, great staff just needs a bit of refurb around the common areas. The room was clean, had what we need it including the beautiful views.

This is a 4star hotel and we were disappointed to find that there were no facilities to make tea or coffee in our room. Even when we requested a kettle we were told it was hotel policy not to provide them. We had to resort to room service for an early morning / late night cuppa which is not what I expect from a 4-star Spanish hotel charging 100 euros per night. Similarly, there was no waste bin in the room, we had to use the small hygiene bin in the bathroom for all our rubbish. I have fed back these comments to the hotel who have promised to consider them . Otherwise very comfortable.

I took my husband for a golf break from our home in Campoverde, Spain and whilst the hotel is superb with regret I would not recommend their food! I booked half board but was unaware that the evening meal would be a buffet and a very poor one at that with no service from the one member of staff that was in attendance. Needles to say we left but after reporting our disappointment to the Receptionist she saved the day or should I say the evenings celebrations by booking us a taxi to a local restaurant (La Mafia- fantastic authentic Itslian food 5*) and phoned ahead to book a table. The breakfast was again a disappointing buffet in the same lack lustre rooms it has been our misfortune l to spend anytime in! On check out I asked to meet one of the managers to express my concerns and I within minutes we were sat with a duty manager and an interpreter. She was very apologetic and refunded the cost of our evening meal and offered us a complimentary drink on our return, which will certainly will do but we will be wary of eating but will give the hotels poolside summer restaurant a chance but not breakfast! Great site, staff but what a shame their food let’s both down!

A wonderful experience
This was After a terrible experience in a hotel in Barcelona the perfect get away before departing back home. The peace and Beautiful views from the room straight over the golf course, the not over crawlde restaurants and bars and the Amazingly friendly staf, that is very helpfully. We travelled with our Son, and to my surprise the room was huge, as even after the extra (1p) bed came in there was still plenty of room and space to run and play in the room, Lets day I didnt had to climb over beds to get out of the room like it is in most hotels. We Will definitely visit this hotel again.... @cj.yvonne.s

Lovely short stay
Stayed two nights in standard room. Lovely large room overlooking 18 hole. Bed was huge and really comfy. Bathroom was fine but a bit tired looking. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Steam room was out of order during our stay and spa was closed Mondays but pool and sauna were open. Easy to get to Alicante by tram. Would stay again
