Mi esposa y yo estuvimos tres noches para el fin de semana de Easter, la ubicación del hotel es muy buena ya que queda cerca de todo porque queda en el mero centro, la recepción está abierta 24 horas y el staff es servicial, lo que no nos gustó del hotel es que las paredes son muy delgadas y se escucha absolutamente todo de los cuartos alrededor, cuando cierran puertas, cuando entran y salen, etc. durante dos noches escuchamos en el piso de arriba una mujer gritando desesperada pidiendo ayuda como que algo malo le estaba sucediendo y se escuchaban gritos de pelea y muebles moviendose y botando cosas, yo llamé a recepción para que llamaran a la policia, la persona de recepción me comentó que compartían edificio con otro hotel comenzando desde el piso 5to. es buena opción en lo económico y donde se encuentra ubicado pero no nos sentimos muy seguros durante nuestra estadía en el hotel.

Hotel is very centrally situated for most shops and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and cleaned everyday.

Pleasant staff. There was a bit of noise throughout the night. Noise cancelling headphone or very good earplugs should be carried. Location of the hotel is superb.

Positives: good quality bed and pillows with 24/7 concierge and good standard of cleanliness and condition. Allows you to store luggage but no luggage tag system so be aware. Negatives: Not sound proof at all.. very noisy.. can hear people next door, upstairs, downstairs and even the streets. Tiny bedroom and a tiny doorway to a shared reception area with tiny lift.

Short break in Alicante
Location is great, in the centre of everything. Room was small, modern and clean. Cleaned daily. I had an unlovely view of the internal courtyard, but it meant no external noise at night. No breakfast or tea/coffee in room, but dozens of cafes on doorstep. Taxi rank opposite hotel. Stop for C6 bus to airport is a ten-minute walk away. Reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff. Close to perfect for a short stay.

It was a place to sleep. There are a lot of things to see a small walk away from the hotel. The staff was very helpful. No place to eat in the hotel but many places close and a Starbucks across the street!

Punches above its weight
4 day preChristmas break. Situated in the Rambla but very quiet. Very convenient for the best of the town, the beach and airport bus (even honoured my bus pass for a €0.95 tocket) Comfortable bed and good shower. Does everything well for 2* hotel. New towels and bed made every day. Used the fridge for juice in morning and wine. Supermarket on corner for cold beer, water and milk. Amazingly does not put white wine in fridge!

Hotel is in a fantastic location, 5 minutes walk to beach. Lots of great bars, restaurants and tapas bars in the immediate area. Brilliant shopping too. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. We will be returning. There was nothing, not to like.

Great location.
I chose Hotel Mendez Nuno for its location, right in the heart of the old part of Alicante, close to the Marina. The hotel has an unassuming entrance and lobby, but all the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and although located on a busy thoroughfare, we couldn't hear the traffic. But, the location was perfect and surrounded by bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours.

It wasn't very good. The cleanliness is not up to par and some of the staff are not friendly. The location is very good in the center and very close to the beach. The balcony is glazed and it is extremely warm there. The hotel itself is not ok and they have a lot of restrictions that do not correspond to it. There is no coffee in the rooms and this is not one of the services they offer. I wouldn't go back there.

Cleanliness of the room can be a bit more cleaner specially inside the drawers of the desk which have crumbs of bread, cookies, or chips from previous traveller. Towels can be cleaner as some have stains and have musty smell. Don’t expect too much of the property, but it is somewhat on the expensive side because of the location.

Perfectly adequate stay in the heart of Alicante. Located right in the heart of town and right by a taxi rank. Rooms were more spacious than I thought and staff were friendly and helpful when spoken to. Elevator is a little small so bare in mind if you have big luggage!

Great hotel on a budget and central to Alicante.
Could not fault the location of the hotel excellent. Everything within walking distance. Rooms were spacious and clean. Comfy beds and cheap mini bar. The breakfast was served from the cafe next door, which we couldnt fault . The only down size is no tea and coffee making facilities. But you got a complimentary bottle of water.

Quick trip to Alicante
We stayed here for a quick one night visit. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Our room was pretty quiet, but we could hear people walking around upstairs since the rooms have hard floors. Breakfast is at a cafe next door, and it was a great way to start the day (a croissant, toast, fruit, and drinks). The location was also pretty convenient to everything we wanted to see.

Rude staff, unprofessional, NO PHONE IN THE ROOM, broken fridge. I was blamed for not FINDING the phone…until receptionist went with us to the room, went down to ring us so we could find the phone….sorry they recently remodeled this suite and have not installed phone yet. Next day when asked if phone would be installed today I was yelled out and treated like a criminal….all suites are on 1st floor, noisy, many motorcycles, trucks and buses etc. had to buy toilet paper. Indirect light in the room. No ceiling light. Very dark, can’t find anything! Fridge not working! Again receptionist thought it was my lack of intelligence, went up to the room with us to see if it was connected even though I mention the fridge had light when you open it, but very warm and not working. Had to pack up, in the street looking for a place to go with my bags and my 88 year old husband who could not sleep because of the lack of toilet paper even though I had requested it from the receptionist. Later I was informed that there is always toilet paper in the reception. They don’t know their synonyms even though they work in a hotel reception in a City that thrives on tourism.

You can put the comment you want but it does not become true. From the moment of arrival it already started with rude behavior towards the receptionist during check in. You warned that your room should be protected from electromagnetic waves because, according to you, they affected you, but immediately afterwards you asked for the Wi-Fi password (??). After a while, you went back down to reception indicating that the phone did not have access to the outside. We indicate that it is a service that is no longer given since everyone has a mobile phone. You got angry threatening the receptionist with suing her because that's why you had lost a very important business due to the lack of a telephone. Also at that time you requested 9 rolls of toilet paper. We indicated that you had 2 rolls in the room and if you needed more, ask for them the next day. You said there were none. The receptionist came up with you and saw that you had thrown the paper rolls in the trash. Your reply was that they were not good enough for you. (??). The next day you went to breakfast and asked for the whole breakfast to be served at once. You looked at it in a bad way and yelled at the waitress to take it away and bring you another one just like it. The waitress told you that this second breakfast should be charged to you and you began to insult her, generating an unpleasant situation in the cafeteria. After all this, the hotel management decided not to continue with this situation and you were asked to leave the hotel, returning the money for the nights not spent. Upon departure, it was found that all the windows were open, which is normal for noise (our rooms have double-glazed windows) and we checked that the fridge worked perfectly. Each person can have their hobbies but what we will never accept is the lack of respect towards our staff who carry out their work in a professional and impeccable manner.

A very good reasonably priced hotel
What a lovely wee gem of a hotel. Very very reasonably priced and much better than the much more expensive Hotel Melia we mistakenly splashed out on for our last two nights in Alicante. The latter has fantastic views of the harbour, but our first room's bathroom was shabby and the bath sealant applier must have been drunk, for as a reasonable DIYer, I've done far better at home. The final straw on the Melia was no hot water in the bathroom first morning. In contrast this hotel had a reasonable bathroom for the price and hot water! The balcony which could be inclosed or open was a wonderful place to watch the busy evening street.

Good value for money
Great location, comfortable beds, quiet room. Nice cafe next door for breakfast. Only downside was towels - very old, not soft.
