“Good value for price”

The hotel is extremely convenient to get to the beach. For the price the hotel was great, the room was large and clean. It's not that modern but if you don't care it will be great and has everything you need, including air conditioning. All rooms have a balcony with seating which is nice after a day out to have a drink at sunset. They offered free breakfast daily with the standard continental items like pastries, cereal, yogurt, cold cuts and fruit to start your day. Nothing special with that, but good to have something. Location: Nearby is plenty of parking for rental cars during end of September and off seasons. Supermarket is 2 blocks away making getting drinks and food easy. Beach is across the street so sunset drinks are easy.,Nicer beaches should be driven to. About a 20 minute walk to the central downtown area which may be a long walk at night but may be far if your feet are tired after a long day of outtings. I would absolutely recommend this to someone going to Alghero on a budget and looking for a comfortable quiet room.

“Close to the beach in Alghero”

Although the Hotel Alma di Alghero is a very simple hotel, the rates are reasonable and the location, just one hotel between the Alma and the beach area is great. It's an easy walk along the beach to the harbor (about 15 minutes) and then the Old Town, just next to the harbor. Hotel decor is rather unappealing, but the dated seaside look could be seen as attracftively retro.

“Excellent service and good quality room”

Excellent service in this hotel where every detail is well taken into account. The room is cleand and in good condition. The breakfast is ok. I would like to highlight the fantastic reception from staff and how they treat you with small details. There is free fruit all over the place and you get some fresh fruit and local cookies as a welcome gift. The rooms are big and well mantained. The bathroom was brand new and in perfect condition. The hotel is about 15 minutes walking distance of the city center and 1 minute away from the beach (which is beautiful).

“Great Hotel but a bit noisy”

Good hotel. Friendly reception and convenient location about 15 minutes from the port and old town along the promenade. We stayed in a standard room and found it very clean with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was good choice but make sure you get there early. On our first morning, we got to breakfast about 30 minutes before service ended and not only was the choice greatly reduced, but none of the previous guests plates, etc had been cleared away and we had to clear a table ourselves. The only drawback and complaint I would make is that the hotel has very little 'soft furnishings' (i.e. marble floors, bare concrete painted walls) and that noise from other guests travelled a long way and was very loud. This alone would perhaps deter me from staying again.

“Great location; reasonably priced”

you are walking distance to the beach and the town center is about a wonderful 10-15 min leisure walk along the water. Depending on who is working at the counter they can be very helpful or not very much. Language is a non issue, I don't speak Italian and I was able to communicate my needs.

“Not too impressed”

Short stay in this hotel. Plus is the proximity to the town beach - though a bit of a walk into the town. Room was supposed to be higher class - it was spacious but the decor and furniture seemed from the 60s! Badly needed an update - and hard to reconcile this 3* hotel with the next one we stayed at.

“Great location near beach!”

The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to spend time at the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a small on-site parking lot. Our room was much bigger than I expected and very comfortable. The frist day we had a problem getting the a/c to work correctly, but they fixed it and it was better the other days. The breakfast had a wonderful varity. The walk to downtown is about 15 min along the water, it is a nice walk. I will stay here next time I'm in Alghero.

“Great Hotel”

Had a brilliant one night stay at the Alma, the hotel itself is really nice, simple, good breakfast, the room was spacious and comfortable. The service was AMAZING. Thank you to the receptionist (sorry cant remember her name), she was more than pleased to help, and did everything she could to make our night in Alghero a pleasant one. We would stay again. Thanks
