This hotel is high luxe and yet surprisingly friendly. I find mself quibbling over silly things which annoy me when other people do it but I still will! They upgraded us to a gigantic suite but this one had a double bed not the twins we had booked (for me and my mum). They had opened the sofa bed which I slept on - and stayed awake all night as it was as hard as nails! So then they made the admittedly football pitched sized bed into an "american double" and this was fine but still I had to wonder - were all the twins booked? There was an almighty racket in the room next door with singing and chatting and music pumping out until 5.30am one night. The hotel was very slow to shut them up. But actually all in all you get more than you pay for - the pools are lovely, I loved swimming under water as there is music playing which is very meditative. Take your goggles!
I am not sure why you have to pay 25 euros to have a seat and umbrella on the beach. The biggest fault of this hotel is that it is too far from the beach, so I can only guess that they are having to pay another company to use this beach, as without the umbrellas etc it is a bit too hot. I didn't like this beach as much as the one across the bridge at Quinta do lago, which is much much nicer -more deserted, it has a lovely little bar where you can lounge on a really comfortable chair looking out to sea sipping a G and T - for nothing (for the seat -the G and T was 7.5 euros). Advice - rent a car as taxis add up!

If you are getting into Faro late, this place is mint! It is not the Ritz but you would not expect it to be. However, it is tremendously convenient & a superb place to get your head down. The staff are incredibly friendly & the breakfast was exceptionally good for the low price you will have paid. A brilliant airport stopover & the staff were so, so nice. V impressed!

This hotel is a stones throw from the airport but is far from being a hotel crash pad. It's a new hotel only 4 months old with great facilities and a trendy decour. The breakfast was amazing!!! Options galour and tasty. We stayed 3 nights and didn't have anything but positive things to say. Would recommend to anyone
I wasn't sure what to expect but the accommodation was very spacious. We had a large sitting room with a terrace just opposite the pool and gym area, a big bedroom, a big bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was immaculately clean - it was hard to believe anyone else had ever stayed there before us! I just have two gripes (well - you did ask) and these are that the bed was as hard as a slab of concrete and this combined with very flimsy curtains and a bright street light just outside the bedroom window meant that sleep was hard to come by.
Very nice Hotel with friendly staff. Main part is a beautiful old palace with history and charm , attached is some modern rooms built into the hillsides. Very good food and a pleasant area for sunbathing with pool , not much so hire a car if not looking for relaxed quiet break
We stayed there for a week , few days around the pool and then few on the beach . Relaxing break where the pool was relaxing with very accommodating staff for your relaxing day and started with a great choice for breakfast for every one's tastes. Tried the bbq eve at hotel and spa food very good but preferred the smaller residence at the garden hotel, but that's our choice.. Great choice of restaurants down at the beach.Izzys beach bar great for food and Julia's for a drink watching the sunset. Courtesy shuttle to beach very prompt and extra helpful if you wanted collecting later in eve. Room was in brand new accommodation overlooking small pool and tennis clubs. Grounds well kept .
