These apartments are next to the hotel. They are in blocks, each section has 8 apartments, there is a rooftop swimming pool for each 8 apartments to share. It was great, only two of us up there on the days we were there.
Really quiet, excellent views of sea and mountains. Our apartment had one bedroom, very big with on suite bathroom with full sized bath and hairdryer. Down the hall was a shower room. The living room was large with a sofa bed, satellite tv, and a lovely big balcony with table and chairs. Also a dining room off the living room. The kitchen was well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, hob, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, pots, pans, glasses, everything you could ever need. Very modern décor, did not want to leave. Not many restaurants open in January, found an excellent one on the last night, Tasco O Galo, Rua da Gazeta de Olhao, very unique, tiny, only about 5 tables, but made very welcome, all food made fresh, and the local lady came out to tell us she had cooked it and did we like it, couldn't do enough to please us. A couple of Swedish people were front of house. Cockerels and chicken ornaments and pictures as décor, very interesting.
Also ate in a local café opposite the fish market a couple of times, very good and gorgeous cakes, cheap, omellete, chips and salad, 5 euros, cakes started at 1 euro, half litre of wine 2.50 euros. Cheap as cooking yourself. But good supermarkets around if needed.
