“good apartments for families”
good hotel for young families.
“Exceptional but at a Price”
excellent all round experience but watch out if you are running to a tight budget as extras will catch you out buffet breakfast was good and included but with all the facilities being extra i.e golf ,tennis etc it all adds up .
“'Luxury' meets 'Family' like never before”
I never thought I'd find a hotel that delivers 5star service and caters to the needs of families with young children. Until I stayed at the Pine Cliffs. We stayed in one of the new Residence apartments. It featured two nice sized bedrooms with ensuite marble bathrooms, a kitchen with all necessary amenities, a washer/dryer and two balconies overlooking the verdant golf course. Given they were built only two years ago, the Residences are of a high standard and well maintained by the hotel itself. The real defining factor about the Pine Cliffs was the kids' club, which was wonderful. The facility was spacious and packed with top-end equipment (trampoline, ball pit, bouncy castle) as well as arts & crafts and other activities. All was very clean and the staff were lovely. I had no prolbem leaving my 2 year old there for several hours every day. The restaurants in the hotel complex are good, but far too expensive, especially given the robust Euro. Head outside the hotel to any of the local restaurants for good, honest Portugese food. O Antonio, across the street from the hotel entrance, is nice and easily accessible. The bill for three for dinner, including sangria, was the same as our bar bill for three cocktails at the hotel bar. Overall, I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat with my young children and recommend it hightly to anyone who needs a holiday that combines kid-friendly with Algarve luxury.
“If it ain't broken - dont fix it... and what a good deal.”
This is our 9th time back at the Pine Cliffs and we didnt think they could improve it, but they have. The new pine cliffs residence section has its own reception, gym, deli and restaurant (although in May its not open for dinner, just breakfast and lunch). Our kids (12 and 8) love this place, they play football, swim, tennis and golf. Were ready to go back again.
“Pine Cliffs Family excellence”
This was our second trip to Pine cliffs, most people go back year after year as the facilities, service and location are all excellent. Apartments have everything you need and are very spacious. The resort is lovely, lots of gradens, full facilities, loads of restaurants, golf club, tennis, beach club, etc. They really have thought of everything. The only downsides I would say is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow in the restaurants but the staff are very good, and many of them I recognised from last year, and they remembered us which was nice. Also the resport charge for everything, so tennis charges a bit steep, kids club, mini golf, etc is all charged extra - can add a bit to holiday but it is 5* so I guess what you would expect. I wouldn't go anywhere else in portugal - ideal for families.
“Super Place would definatly go back!”
The Pine Cliffs Residence is a fantastic complex with plenty to do! If your an adult, teenager or child you will find something for eveybody! We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite and it was absolutly fantastic! The rooms were very spacious and clean and kitchen provides excellect cooking facitities! There are several pools around the complex each with their own charactoristics! Definatly go for the bed and breakfast option as the food is fantastic quality! All freshly cooked and you can have as much of it as you like! The private beach is beautiful! All the staff are very helpful and willing to help with anything! The drinks around the pool are very expensive but after all, it is a 5* complex! The only down side was the cost of taxi's to Albufira and the Marina at Villamora! Was costing approx 10 Euros going and approx 15 Euros coming back! 25 Euros a night on cabs if you want to go out! Will Hire a car next time! Overall the resort is fantastic, the gym, golf, tennis, beach, pools, childrens club are all amazing! Defo recommend Pine Cliffs!
“Can't wait to go back”
Great hotel and location. Amazing beach and activities for the family.
“Back again. .”
Our usual May half term holiday - now our 11th visit. Couple of changes from last time. Towel fee!! - on our late check-in with the kids 11pm we were asked for our credit card to place a towel fee of EURO 150 per person - "WHAT!!" we said, weve never heard of this before - so we called the duty manager, after chatting with him he advised us that 3000 towels a year on average are stolen so they have had to put this fee on. This meant that you had to hand in your card for a towel and return your towel everyday and collect the card because on checkout you have to have all of your cards. In theory I can see why theyve done this but it doesnt stop people taking your towels off your beds to avoid the charge - guard your towels with your life! Apart from this stupid new rule we still love the place and have booked for next May. The residences are still looking fresh and clean, although some can be a long way from the main hotel and beach. Also the residence restaurant was open for dinner (hooray) but prices are high (boo) - so go to the restaurants outside the resort (the brothers is good) where chicken piri piri, chips and salad are 7 euros and equally as good as resort (but notcosting the 22 euros like the resort!!) I love a rose wine called lancers in the algarve in the hotel its 22.50 euros a bottle, in the brothers restaurant outside 9 euros. enough said. Cant wait for next May.
“just returned from Pine Cliffs”
Hello, I don't normally do feedback, but trust me - this is most definitely worth a mention. We have high standards and weren't disappointed when we stayed here, the staff are happy to please and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is 5 stars and therefore has prices to match, we didn't find this a problem, but there are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket near by, if you are sticking to a tight budget. There is a refundable deposit for beach towels, which I noticed in a previous review, if you want you can always take your own. We will be going back there, sooner rather than later. Thank - you Pine Cliffs
“simply fabulous for families”
We are going again. It was fab. Expensive but worth every penny. Lovely staff, lovely accommodation and lovely fellow guests. We had a ball. Our children were the real 5 star guests- but that made it all the more relaxing for us as parents
