Lovely stay.

Posted 07-Apr-2014
Pros: It was lovely having breakfast in the 5th floor restaurant. There was lots of choice, and the view was terrific. Reception staff really nice.
Cons: There was really nothing that was a problem.
Location: Faro is ok for a couple of days. It is ideal for taking train or bus on day trips or further afield.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Eva. Our sea view room was comfortable and balcony over looking the marina really was great/

Excellent gym - central location

Loved the hotel - free Wifi was good - only down side to the hotel was the breakfast - not much choice and the hot food was often cold which was a shame - apart from that we enjoyed it - they made us a nice packed breakfast when we left as we were too early for breakfast. The staff were friendly and they looked very smart

Great location, lovely pool

Had a great stay at hotel Eva. The location is great, close to the centre & old town & also a short walk to forum algarve shopping centre. The breakfast was good & spent a couple of lovely afternoons sunbathing by the roof top pool, enjoying the great view! Would highly recommend.

Central Faro

Posted 26-Mar-2014
Pros: Location
Location: Faro old town is good for a visit. Probably not a long one. Stork spotting is fun.
Picked up our rental car late at night at Faro airport so wanted a good overnight stay nearby. It was just about 15 mins drive which was good. Everywhere around the hotel seemed pay parking but the receptionist directed us to some free bays, which was good as we wanted to see Faro next morning before we moved on. The room was clean and comfortable with good air conditioning (coming from England in March it seemed very warm). The breakfast was very good with a selection to suit most people. It was served on the top floor with fabulous views over the harbour, the river and the town. There was even an open air decked area which would be fabulous with just a few more degrees of temperature.

Good hotel close to everything.

Posted 22-Mar-2014
Hotel was well maintained and refurbished close to bus and rail stations and easy taxi journey to the Airport. Bet room, good sea view, nice balcony, double bed somewhat small and air conditioning blowing hot rather than cold air. Fixed after first night. Very pleasant restaurant and buffet breakfast and dinner. Prices not unreasonable. Staff were very smart and helpful. Apart from size of bed and first night air conditioning very nice stay.

Pros: the location was perfect, only a few minutes walk into town and shops.
Cons: the only criticism would be the bathroom could do with a little attention, shower sprayed all over floor and a couple of tiles needed repacing. also t
Location: plenty of bars and restaurants. train station only a five min walk. some good shops. lot of places not open on sunday
excellent hotel on marina. staff very friendly and helpful. had a room overlooking thhe marina which was lovely, however saturday night was very noisy as people were returning home from nightclub between 3 and 6, not the hotel's fault .but if you were wanting peace and quiet then its not the place for you .Rooms and public areas spotlessly clean.

4 star hotel with 5 star welcome

Posted 03-Mar-2014
Pros: Approachable pleasant and very helpful staff in all departments.
Cons: A review of stag/hen block-booking policy may be appropriate.
Location: Very accessible for public transport links road and rail fares reasonable, lots to do and see within 45 mins.
A comfortable and relaxing post-retirement stay but is it a proper venue for stag parties (?) avoid them and you will not be disappointed - excellent breakfast good restaurant - late check-out facility invaluable.
