Great hotel and city

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Location: The old town, cathedral, shopping district, marina, museums, and train station are all within a quarter of a mile of this hotel.
We had a fantastic experience here in January 2015. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and everyone spoke English very well. The comfortable and clean room includes breakfast buffet with a rooftop view and access to a health club (all complimentary).

Great location but expected more

Posted 16-Jan-2015
Pros: Clean nice rooms and bathrooms, buffet
Cons: wi-fi
Location: Take a ferry to the island (stop is nearby), for 10 euros round trip you can enjoy beautiful beach.
Nice location, right next to the train/bus station overlooking the water and next to the old city. Wi-fi connection in the room was terrible (we could not connect) and we lost hot water in the morning. Had to wait for hours for it to be fixed, but they let us check out late. Rooms have nice balconies and great buffet (eggs, bread, cheeses, fruit, yogurts) on the last floor of the hotel with a gorgeous view. Hotel is pricey.

Small rooms, Wi-Fi quality is bad, rooms are outdated from the 70/80ies, hotel staff is pretty impolite and rude.

Great return

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Pros: Every thing great room breakfast just right.
Cons: I like it as is
Location: Great location , you can get to every thing from the hotel. Walking to the restaurants , shops , bus and rail station
Was in Faro earlier in the year and saw this hotel. When i decide to return found a great deal on Expedia so was very happy to use this hotel. Hotel Eva lived up to my expectation . Had a great time in Faro even with the rain.

Trevligt hotell, med bra frukost!

Posted 02-Dec-2014
Läget var perfekt, utanför "gamla stan" och vid vattnet. Strålande utsikt och smakfull frukost på hotellets översta våning, det är så man skulle vilja starta varje dag!

central hotel/

Posted 23-Nov-2014
Pros: generally friendly The pleasant greeting on the 15th nov was let down by the check pit on the 22nd. There was no ' how was your stay".
Cons: BEDS ! well at least My bed!
Location: Trip to Ilha Deserta. However ,cafe on the island was meant to open at 1030 but didn't open till 12 noon as staff were too busy having their lunch !
Not that much choice as far as i could work out in Faro re hotels or food. However Eva was central and provided a lovely location for eating your breakfast buffet...overlooking the harbour. However the minus was the hard bed. We stayed for a week and i started using the spare duvet to ile on, as my back was getting increasingly stressed. so Hotel Eva ... sort out your beds.

Great location, Amazing Staff, Fantastic Breakfast

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Location. Breakfast. Staff. Balcony over the Harbour (definitely recommend this upgrade)
Cons: Rooms look dated. Bathrooms need refitting.
Location: Old town. Boat trips through nature reserve to amazing island beaches. Bus terminal and train station next door for travel further afield.
Fantastic easy to find location. Amazing view over the Harbour and Old town. Very well stocked breakfast, catering for every taste. Extremely helpful staff. Great stay. Only fault was the rooms were looking quite dated and tired for the price. It was clean but broken tiles and thinning carpets let it down. Right by bus terminal and train station if you wanted to travel further. Close to airport, yes you see the planes coming in to land and take-off but not noisy.

Lovely Hotel close to everything we needed

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: Lovely clean and modern interior throughout with friendly and helpful staff in a hotel that is positioned right in the centre of town.
Cons: At the time of our stay the main restaurant was closed for refurbishment which was a shame. Perhaps this work could have been postponed.
Location: Great town centre location. Plenty of things to do close by including the old town quarter. Lots to see. Plenty of places to eat and loads of shopping
Me, my wife and 2 children stayed here in September as the starting point for our first holiday in the Algarve and we all loved it! The algarve is an amazing place and the incredible weather we had for September was superb. We only stayed at Eva for 2 nights shortly after our arrival to the Algarve as we were waiting for friends to arrive a couple of days later before moving into our holiday villa near Albufiera. Our stay at the hotel was brilliant. Right from the start I was impressed with entrance reception area and how nice it all looked. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. Helpfull too. They explained everything and then we went up to our room. The entire building was nicely decorated and clean and modern. Any staff we passed were very pleasant. Our room was perfect. clean and roomy and surprisingly quiet considering the busy road passing below our balcony 4 floor down. As requested, our room was set out with beds for our 2 children and we had TV in both areas of the room so the children were happy too! Breakfast was served buffet style on the top floor which gave way to awesome views of the town and the food was to a very good standard. Trying to cram so much into such a short stay in Faro, we didnt get a chance to try the rooftop pool but it looked lovely! Overall. Our stay at the Eva was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Faro which was made ever more relaxing thanks to the Eva. We'll be back again sometime soon!

Great location, clean & pleasant.

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Location and star rating was good.
Cons: Mattress toppers!!!
Location: Bus and train within few minutes walk, also shops, restaurants and the historic old town.
Hotel very modern, clean and in a super location for everything in Faro. My only gripe, and that is because I have a back problem was that the bed was rather hard and I had to use two duvet's folded to make it a bit more comfy. At least they supplied extra duvets which were already in the room in the wardrobe. Everything else was very satisfactory and we had a lovely stay. Breakfast was till 10.30am and there was plenty of choice, and the restaurant view across the harbour and to the sea was superb.
