“Can't wait til next year”

As always, the staff at the Dom Pedro Portobelo were welcoming, friendly, helpful & efficient. It is worth noting, however, that you now only get shower gel, shampoo & soap on arrival, so pack some of your own. The bar/restaurant staff were excellent, many remembering us from last year. It's like visiting friends rather than staying in a hotel. The food in the restaurant, as always, was excellent & the wine selection bigger & better than ever. The imported beers & spirits were a little expensive, but they may be due to the dreadful exchange rate. The pool & surrounding area has recently been renewed & is very clean and comfortable.

“Great position in Vilamoura”

Dom Pedro Portobelo well positioned for Marina and Beach. Immediate surroundings quiet but short walk to restauarnts and bars at the marina. Public areas, rooms, pool and gardens very well maintained and pleasant. Bathroom rather dingy and dated. Breakfast pretty good except for watery scrambled eggs! Rooms have small kitchen area w fridge microwave and hob so u can make a coffee or sandwich & keep your drinks cool-ideal. Staff very pleasant and efficient we had a faulty kettle replaced within minutes.

“quiet ,well equipped and convenient”

The dom pedro portobello was excellent for a restful stay. We had an upgrade to a large room with a sea view and balcony. The room was very well set up with 2 settees table and chairs and mini kitchen. the hotel was by a supermarket and the bus stop with buses to faro adn albufeira. The marina and beach were both only a few minutes away. Breakfast was in the neigbouring hotel as it was so quiet and had an excellent choice. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had an excellent deal and the value was unbeatable.

“Well located hotel”

The Dom Pedro Portobelo is very well located within easy walking distance of the Marina,Beach, Casino and supermarkets pubs etc.There is also a bus stop directly opposite the hotel should you wish to explore the surrounding area. The swimming pool is great and cleaned daily.Some rooms could do with refurbishment but are very clean and fully equipped.

The hotel staff at the Dom Pedro Portobelo were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is generous, upgrading our room on arrival and gifting us bubbly and nibbles for our anniversary. This hotel is in a good location opposite a lovely beach, minutes from the marina and a ten minute stroll only from Querteria, which has some nice cafes. Overall, a good holiday and would recommend for couples and older people. Time share do operate from the hotel, but you can say no thanks without pressure. Make sure you confirm your transfers back to the airport a couple of days before you leave, to make sure they are properly registered and organise your pick up time well before you depart, as we had some confusion of not being on their list and were picked up late, or, recommend - take a taxi if you don't want all the drop off/pick up stops.

“Good but not Perfect”

Had a great time even though we were stressed out by Volcanic Ash situation. Transfer Coach left it to late for our return trip to Faro Airport as we wanted to get to airport to sort out flight and refused to be flexible, so we ended up paying an extra £30 for a Taxi. Very quiet at resort due to problems.

“Wait for the re-fit”

The staff and service at the Dom Pedro Portobelo is second to none, however, the rooms have gone a little down hill. Decor is dated, furniture tatty & plaster coming off the walls. The hotel is due a major refurbishment 'sometime in the next 2 years', so if your planning a trip to Vilamoura, it may be as well to avoid the Portobelo until this has been completed.
