“Ideal location”

Hotel very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and very efficient speaking very good English. Hotel is in a great position close to beach and just across the road from Marina, with the added advantage of buses, for Faro and Albufeira, stopping right outside, also taxi rank just down the road. 4 star rating probably a bit generous but if you want a more luxurious hotel, with better food, you should look at 5 star but be prepared to pay a lot more. This Hotel was perfect for our needs and very good value for money.

The Hotel was excellent, extremely pleasant and friendly staff, very clean and well decorated. The Breakfasts were first rate and a good buffet mix. We used the evening restaurant once its was fine but the choice of an Italian menu for a Portuguese Hotel was odd and put us off using it further. The only minor downside like other reviewers, a bit odd to be charged for the safe and there were no room tea or coffee facilities. The area was slightly noisey at night but that would be true for any Hotel in that area.

From arrival to departure at the Dom Pedro Marina everything was supberb. Reception were helpful,porters were on hand and the bar staff were excellent. We chose the area as we were golfing, the hotel offered a free shuttle service back and fore to the golf courses which was excellent too. Very close to the Marina for the shops, restaurants and bars!!

Very clean, tidy hotel - quite small and although fully booked, did not really feel like it. Can use all the facilities of sister hotels next door. The hotel is older style and is very quaint and poruguese - staff very helpful and curteous. Really relaxing

Just back from a wonderful time in Portugal, with perfect weather. Our stay at the Dom Pedro Marina hotel was great from start to finish. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke very good english, wish my portugese was as good. We had requested a room on a high floor, so that we could enjoy the views over the marina, and we were checked into a good sized standard room on the 6th floor, plenty of room for golf clubs etc.. and a view over the marina and beach. Breakfast in the morning was buffet with plenty to choose from, and topped up regularly so if you were late down you could still get a decent choice. We were only staying B & B, so didn't eat in the hotel except for a few lunches which seemed good value, similar prices to the cafes near by, you are spoilt for choice with the number of restaurants in the marina, easily eat in a different one each night, all we tried very good. There is a small supermarket next to the hotel where you can get supplies if you need them and the reception staff told us about this when we checked in. Plenty of choice of golf courses nearby and my partner was advised to go to the Dom Pedro Golf which is almost next door and a sister hotel, as they had a specialist there who could book tee times for you, at good prices with buggies. a free shuttle service was provided to nearby courses. All in all we had a wonderful time, thoroughly recommend the hotel, and look fwd to going back

The Dom Pedro Marina is a hotel that I would recommend to stay in. It's conveniently located (not even 2mns walk to The Marina) and the staff there are great - sending me a bottle of champagne to my room when they noticed it was my birthday. My room was spacious and clean, with a television, plenty of wardrobe space and a nice sized bathroom.

The hotel was very good and in an excellent location close to the marina and beach. The photos don't do it justice. The pool area was fab and the staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend it and already talking about going back next year!

“Great Hotel and Location”

Spent a week there in September. First time in Portugal. Only paid for a standard room but was given one with seperate bedroom and living area. I had requested a high floor and was on the sixth with a view over the marina. Breakfast was included and had an excellent choice of hot and cold food on the terrace overlooking the garden. The marina is two minutes walk away with all the night life or a small supermarket close by if you are saving money. The charge for the room safe was a bit high but was optional. Would definitely stay there again.

“Great for a place in the Sun”

I had decided to grab the last of the summer sun in early October in a relaxing hotel, and wasn't let down. Although only 4 star, it features a medium sized pool and pianist entertainer in the almost-deserted lounge at night. A local beach is only 400yards away, and my excellent double room was very affordable. On the other hand, the price for playing at the many golfing tees nearby seemed to start from 65 euros for 9 holes. Check if this includes transportation. Breakfast was included in my tariff, and was provided in a bright and friendly room near the pool. It was a full hot one. For gym facilities(very small) I was invited to visit its "big sister" 5 star Dom Pedro Golf Hotel, about 300 m away, for 5 euros. I didn't try the in-house Italian restaurant in the evening, most guests seeming to wander 400 m down to the marina area for a large, if expensive, selection. I didn't see any shuttle available from the Faro airport, so prospective guests need to hire a car or share a cab for the 35 minute road trip, to prevent an expensive solo journey by taxi from the airport. Parking at the Dom Pedro was, remarkably, free for guests. Reception seem to double as concierge, but they knew the area well. and can provide a local map. They speak English perfectly. All in all, a relaxing, uncomplicated hotel in one of the very anglicised parts of the Algarve!
