“Enjoyable”

This is a lovely hotel and very comfortable. The only thing that spoils it is every morning towels were placed on sun beds by the pool and some were not used all day even though there were not enough beds to go round. There should be some system so that if a sun bed is not used within a certain length of time the towels are removed. Otherwise worth a visit.

“Interior designer's heaven!”

Fabulous hotel, staff can't do enough; the decor is fabulous. We had a Deluxe beach view room and it was everything it was described as. The only downside was that there are 100 beds around the pool and 150 beanbags on the grassed area. the hotel has 327 rooms (probably double occupancy) equals 654 clients, and the beanbags really require 2 bags each to be comfortable and they are not suitable for elderly people. hence only 175 sunbathing beds for 654 clients! The Hotel realise the problem and they say that they are going to address it by not letting people get the beds at 7am and keep them all day,;( they go off for hours at lunch) and it is unfair. If they sort that....it would be 10 out of 10 for me.

“The hotel charges 5* prices, but offers 3* accommodation - rip off!!”

a.Use of the indoor pool is £8 per person per day. b.Only coffee is available in the rooms and charged at £1.80 per sachet. One good size cup is supplied. The tooth brush cup has to be used for 2nd cup. c.Drinking water is not provided in the rooms. d.Few english channels, £13 per movie. e.A glass, milk or sugar (not provided), can only be ordered via room service at a £6 service charge, per order. Not allowed to get it from the bar. g.The beds are not turned down at night - advertised. h.Radios and clocks are not provided in the rooms – advertised. i.The mini bars are empty and not stocked - advertised. -Rooms are not cleaned. Only the beds are made at 5pm. -If you pay for a ocean facing room, these are always oversold. Must complain. Strategy the hotel uses is to bump someone else that has not yet checked in, so you get their room. -Only 200 pool loungers and beanbags for 600 guests. You will need to get up before 7.30am to reserve or rent a lounger at £10. -The breakfast menu in your room the hotel admitted is misleading after they tried to charge us £40! -You must go to breakfast before 8.30am as the restaurant can not cope with the number of guests after 8.30am. Very busy and stressful, queues to be seated. -The same songs are played daily at the hotel – especially Sade. -No evening entertainment exists, with only a few people sitting around, with Sade playing on the ipod. . -The staff told us that they are all aware that the hotel is not 5*.

“Fabulous!”

Hotel was absolutely fantastic. I normally stay in the Tivoli when I visit (normally a few times a year), but would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms were very comfortable, lovely pool area and bean bags were great (although need some more). We had a late flight home and it was great to have use of the spa changing rooms before we left for the airport. Highly recommend this hotel! Location was great as well with a 5 minute walk to the marina. I can't wait to come back!

“5 * quality 3* service”

The quality and standard of the hotel is excellent. It let's itself down on 3 areas. 1. Service - in the bar/lunch restaurant we waited on 4 different occassion over 30 minutes without being asked if we wanted a drink. We only got a drink by going to the bar ourselves. 2. Sunbeds- there are over 600 guests and only spae for 210 people to sunbather, this meant you had to get up early to get a bed or do without. They said there were more on the way?? 3. Pool area the covering is made of small stones which are loose and stick in your feet, we suggested tehy needed to brush it up every day, but didn't see it being done?

Great hotel ,great room! We hope to go back for a longer period next time! Only negative was the staff was very robotic at the front desk. Not like your typical Crowne Plaza. However, awesome hotel!!

“Excellent Hotel just minutes from the Marina”

Just returned from a fantastic 9 day break at the Plaza. The hotel is 5* and is well located just 10 minute stroll from the Marina. The hotel was totally refurbed approx 12 months ago and it shows with lots of new cream/white leather and all mod cons throughout. We had room on top floor with good view of beach and garden area. Room was well equipped and spacious and beds esp comfy. Bathrooms again well equipped. Pool area is superb approx 100m long pool with luxurious sunbeds around, well spaced apart. But be warned they are popular and go early. Those late arrivals then have to lie in the garden area on beanbags which are quirky but strangely comfortable. The younger visitors will love these but less mobile?. Check-in was efficient and good and they had room prepared for 11am check in, great. Breakfasts are okay without being wow, but more choice would be ideal. Drinks are at 5* prices but local shops near at very cheap prices. Ate at Marina each night so cant comment on dinner. Would I return, most definitely. Would I recommend, again yes. Tivoli next door but you will pay £££'s more for not much difference.
