Nice stay
We arrived quite early and were greeted by the owner. She allowed us to check in and explained the room/property. This was a large old building/home that had been subdivided. Our room was basic w a private bathroom. We got some great food suggestions and helpful tips for the area.

Malfalda couldn't do enough and was always checking if everything was Good or if we needed anything. The house is beautiful and you don;t feel like you are in a big hotel. The view is amazing over the square of the old town. There was noise from the square at night but the huge bed was so comfy that it didn't stop us sleeping. I don;t think I have ever slept so much on holiday! The entrance to the hotel is at the back and there are large slopes or stairs to get down to the square - and back up. Luckily you can use the Hotel California next door for their lifts so this brings you straight to the bar street with no steps. The only down side for me was the spiral staircase to the pool!! As I don't like these but Mafalda said to ask for a lower room so you can walk straight out to the pool. The pool was too cold to use - but that was expected in November ! At least we had great weather and 22 degrees each day. I would stay here again, but not sure if it would be too noisy in summer when all the bars are open late

Wonderful hotel
It was wonderful. Amazing breakfast, including homemade cake! We were made very welcome and I would definitely recommend it. We would happily stay again. Thank you so much, it was even better than I hoped it would be!

We are truly thankful to Mafalda who made us feel welcomed and gave us great suggestions about going around Albufeira and where do find the best in town. She also brought some traditional Easter sweets for Easter Sunday and made it feel like our home! The hotel was beautiful, had an amazing view as well. There was some party noise from clubs but we still managed to sleep well! It is the party city after all! Definitely recommend this stay.

The star of the show is the manager, Mafalda. She is completely dedicated to making your stay an exceptional one. She personally prepares breakfast if you order it the day before: fresh bread and cakes, eggs, bacon, cheese, fruits and jams, even fresh-pressed orange juice. She is also extremely knowledgeable about what to do and see. She takes great pride in the running of this small guest house (part of a larger chain, but you would never know it). The location is very convenient. Unfortunately, like everyone else has said, it is a constant blare of electronic beat music until 3 or 4am from the town square just below the hotel. Earplugs are provided. It really depends what you are looking for. If you like to stay out late and be able to walk to your hotel, it's perfect. If you're looking to get a good solid night's rest, not so much.

Pleasant rustic property in Old Town. The listing is misleading however as the “balcony” rooms actually lead out onto a public terrace and pool for the ground floor and a public patio for the first floor. Neither of these are a balcony. If you want to sleep here then book the non-“balcony” room, it is possible to sleep here as the balcony rooms are 50m from the very loud bars (until 0330) of the Old Town - and the room is much nicer. The host offered us to move us to a cheaper room after the first night without any possibility of refund, claiming the terrace/patio was a balcony and the extreme late night noise is mentioned in the listing (it is not!) The host was then very short with us for the rest of the stay and made us feel very unwelcome and was quite rude. All in all, a nice enough place to stay, pool area is very nice and the rooms are clean, just a shame about the downsides.

Good news—the staff is outstanding, the guest house is lovely and perfect location for beach and restaurants. Room was comfortable, great Kikg bed . Bad news—the music at night in the town square nearby is ridiculously loud. you’ll need really good earplugs to sleep.

Really nice little place with great host. Pool and pool area is lovely. No bar but fridge to put drinks in near the pool and in room. Location right near the centre of old town and beach. Only downside was noisy at night until 4am as near the strip but ear plugs were provided which helped

Bertolina was the perfect stay for our two nights in Albufeira. Mafalda was an exceptional host and she did her best to accommodate our early arrival and later departure. She made herself available 24/7 and made sure that we had a relaxing stay. The location was perfect and in close proximity to everything. I would highly recommend Bertolina to anyone looking to visit Albufeira! Would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing stay there. The lady that worked there, Mafalda, was so great. She had amazing insights on activities to do. The food was great! She installed a great sharing ambiance with other guests. She was helpful and a great person to share with. I recommend you to stay there. It is well located in the old Albufeira. Close to everything. And again, the staff there was awesome!!!!

We can’t wait to go back
It was so nice. The pool area was so nice and clean. Mafalda did everything to help and I don’t know where she gets all the time to do such an amazing job. The room was perfect. Amazing view over old town Albufeira. You couldn’t get any closer. Beach is only a few hundred feet away. Everything at your doorstep. Breakfast was really nice too. And very cheap.

The property is lovely the room we stayed in 304 was fantastic. Mafalda was a perfect host extremely helpful couldn’t do enough for you even booked our COVID tests for us for our flight home . I will be definitely staying there again. The only problem was the noise from the square at night but soon rectified with ear plugs so didn’t affect us in the end .Thanks again Mafalda look forward to seeing you soon.

Super hébergement en plein centre d’albufeira. Proche de tout les commerces et de la plage Un peu trop meme du coup, très très bruyant le soir jusqu’à 4h du mat. Parfait si vous n’avez pas prévu de rentrer vous coucher avant. Pas de parking

Oramai una certezza ad Albufeira, il secondo anno quì e come al solito non ci delude. Graziosa struttura al ridosso della pedonale dove la sera si articola gran parte della vita serale e notturna del paese. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo considerando che riserva anche la possibilità di una piscina su una bella terrazza che si affaccia sul paese. A mio avviso, unico appunto/consiglio potrebbe essere proprio quello di valorizzare di più la zona piscina con un po di musica e un bar più efficiente. Nel complesso una certezza quì ad Albufeira!! Consigliatissima!!

Betolina guest house.
We had an amazing stay at Bertolina, the host was friendly and was available at all time. The place was clean and we were happy with the location. The noise did not bother us during our stay. Will recommend this place.

Tres joli hôtel situé vraiment au centre de la vieille ville d’Albufeira, tout les restaurants et bars et plages sont situés à 2 minutes à pied de l’hôtel donc si vous restez que sur albufeira vous pouvez tout faire sans voiture. La chambre était très grande avec tout ce dont on avait besoin et disposait également d’un tres grand balcon donnant vue sur la piscine de l’hôtel et sur toute la ville. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Die Lage war wirklich top und der Pool mit blick aufs Zentrum ein echtes Highlight. Es war auch das Zimmer wirklich sauber. Was uns allerdings nicht gefallen hat: Die Dame war bei Ankunft und Abreise sehr nett, allerdings hat sie uns erklärt, dass wir das schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, weil wir nur 1 Nacht bleiben und das war obwohl wir 1 stunde nach offiziellem Check In gekommen sind noch nicht fertig. Hätte sie nichts gesagt und uns zb als Entschädigung kostenloses Frühstück dazu gegeben, wäre es überhaupt nicht schlimm gewesen, aber so haben wir uns wirklich geärgert. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, allerdings fehlen im Bad Ablagemöglichkeiten und wir mussten alles auf den boden stellen. Keine Steckdosen beim Bett, auch sonst kein Platz für Koffer oder so. Am Pool war rauchen verboten, es lagen aber viele Zigarettenstummel herum. Die sonnenschirme waren teilweise kaputt. Alles in allem war es für 1 Nacht ok, man könnte aber viel mehr daraus machen.

Mafalda was so sweet and welcoming! Really service minded and ready to help/answer any questions we might have. Furthermore we often had the pool to ourselves, which was really nice, and the only downside is the noise from the surrounding streets. Fortunately, we didn’t have a balcony, because those are facing the bars/restaurants. However, we were on street level, and thus could hear everything in the ‘reception area’. Next time, I’m going to ask for a room in the bottom or top floor, facing the street.

Great pool and cute place
Cute and comfortable! Beds great and shower pressure awesome. Loved the pool and they let me have a late checkout which was amazing. Super close to beach and the old square. it’s a bit loud in the morning and easy to hear through windows but other than that I enjoyed my time here !
