“Honeymoon - Loved the Hotel”

Modern, Classy, Relaxing. Less than 5 mins walk to the beach. Nice little Bar on beach. 10 mins to the Strip. Local restaurants & shops. Nice quiet area of town. Hotel will book trips for you. Free wine & chocolate fountain waiting for us as they knew it was our honeymoon. Excellent English spoken at all times.

“spot on - can't wait to go back”

The hotel is great, staff were delightful and very helpful. Buffet breakfast is excellent and with the added bonus of sparkling wine - bucks fizz o'clock!!!!. The room (side sea view) was very well equipped as was the bathroom, we'd requested a high floor room and we got just that - top floor. The balcony was a tad small but we were still able to sit and take in the fantastic views. Pool area was really well maintained, of course, the sunbed squatters were there - 6 sunbeds with towels on them and only one occupied until well after noon, no problem though as the lovely beach is just down the road. The surrounding area is good, one way to the strip and the old town and the other (4 euros in a taxi) down to Olhos d'agua for really good restaurants, well worth the trip!. All in all the hotel surpassed our expectations and we wil definitely return.

“Excellent Stay”

Lovely Hotel, Great Staff. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Pool was lovely and there was enough space for everyone. My only complaint would be that there was no evening entertainment, although you are only 5 min walk away from the Strip.

“Book with confidence”

This hotel is a real gem. It's boutique style and location lends itself to couples and those with teenage children. Just 10 minutes walk from the "strip" and 40 minutes from the old town, it is within striking distance of the main activities yet a step off the pace of what I'm sure would be a hectic resort at peak season The nearest (and beautiful) beach (which seems to be linked to the hotel & apartment development) is less than 5 minutes walk down well built wooden steps/walk-way.

“Excellent value”

Stayed at the Pedra Dos Bicos in July 09. It seemed that the hotel is quite new as there were some works going on whilst we were there - putting up sheds, securing parasols to the patio area etc, nothing too major. The hotel was lovely, really very clean and well presented. The hotel reception staff mostly spoke very good English and were very helpful and polite. The bar staff could have been more polite. It often felt like a bit of hard work trying to get a drink from them. The food for lunch and breakfast was ecellent and I can't fault it. The pool area was always clean and tidy but could do with more sun loungers. Many people reserved their loungers with towels which was very unfair as they often remined empty all day. I would suggest the hotel puts a stop to this, or gets more loungers! The rooms were very clean and welcoming with a lovely view. Over all I rate this hotel very highly and would recommend it to a friend.

“Excellent 4 star Hotel”

Excellent hotel in a good location 5-10 minutes walk to the strip & 40 min walk to Old Albufeira with ample choice of bars and restaurants. Taxis and local buses were also nearby. Very clean modern and comfortable hotel our 4th floor room had a fantastic view over the forest to the sea from the balcony. Comfy beds & very quiet. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towells, and the starter toiletries were handy. It also had a free safe to keep any valuables and a mini bar was useful for water etc. Plus free internet if required. Breakfast was a good choice of cerials, fruit, bread, cheese and the more traditional bacon eggs sausage etc so something for everyone and it was especially nice to sit outside in the sunshine in the morning.Cant comment on the restaurant as we wanted to try the many excellent restaurants nearby. The pool area was not crowded at all at this time of year so no reserving of sunbeds required! If you prefer the beach it is a 5 min walk and it take you along a cliff walk if you are more adventurous. The only small complaint about this hotel and im being picky was the lack of coathangers in the wardrobe and the music playing at the pool repeated the same CD over too many times which was annoying after a week. The piano music which was played each evening in the lobby was a novelty the first few days but a bit boring. On the whole we were very pleased and would recommend it to friends(possibly over 40s)for a relaxing break.

“exquisite design + attentive staff + outstanding breakfast + orthopeadic matress = perfect rest”

This Hotel stands out from the Algarve coastline from the Ocean with its beautiful loandscape inspired design and it stands out in its service, friendly and helpful receptionist and Amazing breakfast! I booked the holiday a week before we left, we arrived on firday 14th october in the Morning and stayed for 9 nights. The design of the hotel is very unusual compared to others in the Albufeira area, it wouldn't look out of place on a marina quayside. The breakfast includes the usual Full English, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, continental including cakes, toast, different breads, Cold meats & cheese (typical of swiss and german breakfasts) & Smoked salmon! The drinks include different juices & Portugese champagne, which is dryer than cava, so makes good bucks fizz! You help yourself & the waiters clean up after you. I feel its more comfortable to choose & eat as you please, no matter what the star rating hotel; many top business hotels do this nowadays. The Pool is sizable for the hotel, not overly grand as its mainly caters for couples / adult groups. We stayed in a normal rate room on the 3rd floor overlooking the sea & prettily designed facing appartments;facing west so we had the best sun set view when we rested on the balcony. The bed was large & firm Orthopeadic, if you like Marriot hotel beds you'll be happy :-) Staff are always courteous & all you have to do is ask & they will come up with an answer. we thank you, hope to visit again.

“A truly remarkakable hotel”

From the moment our taxi arrived at the front door we were treated to wonderful portuguese hospitality. Our bags were taken from the taxi for us into reception where we were greeted by name and with a huge welcome. My wife mentioned that we were there for our wedding anniversary and this was our first visit to Portugal, and we were immediately upgraded to a better outlook room with a bottle of champagne and a very large cake. For the remainder of our 4 night stay all staff were extremely friendly and helpful, in particular the people on reception who always greeted us by name (with a joke and a smile) whether we were going out or returning. The standard of cleanliness was second to none and the internal architecture simply stunning. The breakfasts were the usual buffet style with the fry-ups cooked to perfection, together with plenty of choice through the range from fresh fruit to ring donuts. We ate in the restaurant one evening (Halloween night) and had the special halloween menu. The food was superbly cooked and presented and was no more expensive than any of local external restaurants, in fact with the included unlimited free wine, I believe it was considerably cheaper. To sum up, a superb hotel with lovely staff and a good fair priced restaurant and in a good location. We hope to return soon and would not hessitate to recommend it to people wanting the quieter, nicer things in life.
